GramGun79 226 Posted September 2, 2018 My buddy sent me a picture of how he plans on blocking his range mags that he previously bought blocked at 15 from midwestPX. I had mentioned just to put a rivet in it and call it a day. Upon doing that we noticed the mags were no longer dropping free because the rivet is binding inside the magwell. The fix for that was to grind down the head of rivet and all was fine. Second option was to use a roll pin. Personally I like this option better as it looks cleaner and there is no need to hit it with a belt sander. Is the roll pin method legal?? Lambo2936 297 Posted September 2, 2018 IANAL.... BUT, If it works to pin a stock, wouldnt it be ok on a mag? My ffl used a roll pin and a dab if epoxy so it wouldnt fall out on my stock. Same would likely be OK on a mag?
Persona non grata 113 Posted September 2, 2018 I hope that you and your friend are only doing this for exploratory purposes and not modifying all of your magazines at this point in time. It hasn't even been determined yet if an injunction will be issued...
