Yea, I wouldn't pay near full price for a used die. You don't know how it was treated. I was taught to use a cheap decapping die first before cleaning the brass to make sure my sizing dies don't get gunked up with spent powder residues. Helps keep the quality dies clean and last longer. Can't guarantee people selling their dies clean theirs or take care of them.
When Im buying "used" Im not giving more than a 1/3 to 1/2 of new price.
Somethings worth is equal to what a person is willing to pay. Its a personal choice that has no bearing on what other individuals think the worth should or shouldn't be.
I mean you you did ask what do you guys think? So I gave ya what I think.
my Beretta 1301 is one of the most reliable guns I have ever shot... that thing runs amazing...
I had that video in mind when I read your post.. that is your typical S12.. "done up" on the outside... but probably unchecked gas ports.... probably light target loads..
in contrast.. this is a gun worked on by someone that knows what they are doing... even with the super short barrel.. the gun runs..
the gas system is the weak link and normally what requires a little attention..
