Mossy500 12 Posted October 4, 2018 (edited) Hello, I'm looking to replicate a rifle I missed to buy, the only thing I have is this photo and I was wondering if anybody can help me identify what the accessories are, and what rifle this is exactly. https://imgur.com/a/Kh9BGpR Also, would any of these firearm parts be illegal in NJ? I'm guessing the magazine? Thank you! Edited October 4, 2018 by Mossy500 incorrect link
Lambo2936 297 Posted October 4, 2018 You can get a 10/30 magazine, itll be that size but only hold 10 rounds. Eotech sight, Surefire Warden with appropriate (matching) brake (i have one of em on one of my AR's). Some kinda flashlight.
High Exposure 5,661 Posted October 4, 2018 That’s almost exactly what my work gun looked like 12 years ago. Magpul CTS Stock Magpul ASP sling plate Magpul MIAD grip with trigger guard Magpul BAD lever Magpul XTM Rail covers KNS anti-rotation pins (not sure which generation) Troy BUIS B.A.D. ASS safety Troy drop in rail 7” Tangodown Stubby VFG EOTech 511 optic (they don’t make it anymore) Noveske Flaming Pig muzzle device Can’t tell what make the light is Pretty sure this is an SBR so you can’t make an exact copy, but you can get close. The stock will have to be pinned and I’m not sure if that muzzle break is good in N.J. You’d also have to shave or remove the bayo lug.

Looks like muzzle brake is no good in NJ- and the SBR nature of the rifle as well (I just googled)..
Lambo2936 297 Posted October 4, 2018 Doesnt look like an sbr. 14.5" barrel with a pinned on muzzle brake (muzzle brakes are legal, flashhiders are NOT). Only thkng out there thatll look like that is the surefire warden. High exposure pointed me in that direction when i was building the larue AR i mentioned above. Ill try to upload a pic later. High Exposure 5,661 Posted October 4, 2018 That’s a carbine length has system. See the rail, count the holes on top (you can just barely see them between the side rail panels and the top rail panels). Only 7 of them. That’s the 7” drop in 1913 quad rail from Troy Ind. A midlength system would have a 9” rail (with 9 holes) to cover the gas system. There should be a lot more barrel in front of that front sight for a 14.5” barrel with pinned muzzle device. That’s probably a 10.5” or 11.5” barrel.
Mossy500 12 Posted October 8, 2018 Any recommendation as to who/what store can best help me put this together?
High Exposure 5,661 Posted October 8, 2018 You’ll probably have to shop around. A combo of: • Brownell’s • Midway and • Primary Arms Should get you there.
