Indoor/outdoor weather stations

Recommended Posts

The one I had finally died and I'm looking to replace it.  I like to keep it in the kitchen to see the outdoor temp/humidity (needs a remote sensor) plus the indoor temp/humidity.  What do you guys use and like?

Davis Instruments Vantage Vue. We’ve had one for years. Very accurate including wind chill and heat index. We bought ours to track wind speeds for rc helicopter flying. Yes, we that sort of couple.

Davis all the way. Want to go big like I did? The Davis Vantage Pro 2..... Been doing live weather for the region since 2001.... great hobby, easy to get carried away with.

Go one step further and get involved with Boltek Lightning Detection.....

Then join CWOP.......

I will be taking the station down in a week or so after all these years. Sad day. Prob restart my station in my new town. [emoji16]

@tomk62:

Back in January I purchased from Amazon.com for $32, a La Crosse Technology S88907 Wireless Color Forecast Station with a wireless outdoor temperature and humidity transmitter/monitor.  We have it wall mounted in our kitchen and it is about 20 ft from the outdoor transmitter/monitor.  It provides a very clear and easy to read indicator of both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity levels.  It also syncs its digital clock with the WWVB time 60 kHz signal transmitted from the NIST atomic clock located at Fort Collins, CO.  It can operate either with batteries or by using the included AC adapter.

AVB-AMG

FYI, here is a link to it on Amazon.com:
