This guy sucks. What has happened in NJ to call for this. We already have tough gun laws here. Now they are getting ridiculous

Because crime is not zero and guns are a convenient scapegoat. Avoids having to look at the real problems in NJ that don’t have easy answers. Like poverty and lack of opportunities in the big cities, gangs, etc.

Same shit, different day.

We still all need to do the same as before:

#1 - Vote against the anti-gunners.

#2 - Introduce as many people to the world of firearms.

#3 - Get them invested enough in the cause that they vote, too.

This goes for any state. Complacency is what slowly turns places like Florida from safe-havens of freedom to overly-taxed, overly-regulated, anti-gun cesspools. And we’re watching it happen unfortunately.

...." "We must ensure that those intent on acting on hate through violence do not have access to guns," Murphy said at a news conference in Trenton. "No matter how strong our laws are, we must act to close loopholes."

This guy is a fucking asshat. Criminals, by definition, don't follow ANY laws. He can pass as many unconstitutional laws he wants. They will be a ZERO deterrent to any criminal, just like every other current law on the books.

How fucked in the head are these Democrats that they don't realize that yet? Can we send fuckface Murphy to Chicago for a weekend?

....." State officials said New Jersey has about 300 gun-related killings per year, most of them in Newark, Camden, Paterson, Trenton and Jersey City. "

Hey asshole, does that did you ANY clues??

....." Murphy urged new laws to ban anyone who is disqualified from owning a gun to purchase or sell a firearm to someone else, to require photo identification to purchase ammunition, to require ammunition retailers to report sales to the state police, and to ban the purchase of ammunition by individuals convicted of serious crimes. "

This fucking jerkoff needs to contact the Chicago PD and learn something. They found in Chicago, on average, a handgun was passed around/sold between the boys in the 'hood 6 times before being recovered by police. What exact law will he pass which will stop his buddies in Camden, Patterson, Trenton, etc. from doing that same thing.

If you own firearms and don't vote R. You might as well sell all your guns.

Sadly, just voting R doesn't really get us too far.

Did we get National CCW Reciprocity yet?

We need to throw the RINOs out too.

retail stores need to do more as well,   many ranges have no political information available for patrons to see.     at my local indoor range I see many 1st time shooters who haven't a clue as to the politics of guns in NJ.

How about we start seeing some factual info being posted in all NJ's gun stores.

replace some pics with current NJ politicians on pic below

He is going to do this over and over again so long as he is our Governor.

The last batch of laws passed wasn't just to get it over and done with, it was just the first round of many to come.

Yep, version 2.0 on deck....

...."The governor said gun violence is not something that can be eliminated through “a single magic law” but requires constant attention to close any loopholes that are exposed.

He’s calling for a comprehensive package of legislation, his “gun safety package 2.0,”

He wants ammo sales reported to the state police? GTFO....

...." Another measure already in the pipeline would more closely regulate the sale of ammunition, requiring a photo ID, and “we would bar individuals disqualified from owning a gun from purchasing or ammunition, closing that loophole.”

Apparently, Gov. Asshole doesn't know in many places you need to show a FID card to purchase ammo NOW, which already shows that a person is "qualified" to purchase it. Does his A.G. advise him on the CURRENT laws on the books so he doesn't look like a complete jackass?

...." All sales of handgun ammunition would have to be reported to the State Police. "

Any of you guys that purchase online better have Christmas come early and have the truck show up. Your days are numbered.......

You're exactly right. I was personally never big on "social conservatism" - and frankly, I'm still not. That said, I've seen enough credible studies by social scientists to convince me that you cannot address the problem of violence in our cities without addressing, first and foremost, the 70+ percent out-of-wedlock birth rate among young Black women. It is a disaster for inner city communities on multiple levels. First, it creates the poverty that drives crime (that's been proven all around the globe - single-parent households have much higher poverty levels). Second, the lack of a normal "family structure" then sends kids in search of a substitute family, which too often comes in the form of a gang. Inner city communities have a deep-rooted and complicated set of problems - historic, economic, social, cultural - it's not like it's a problem with one root cause, there's probably at least a dozen causes. And some of those, unfortunately, are "hot button" issues that immediately make people shriek racism, put their fingers in their ears, and shut down the conversation (none of which, of course, actually helps those communities).
