Hello from South Jersey

Hello from Absecon, near Atlantic City. It is great to have a forum that will deal with the intricasies of New Jersey's gun laws, and the difficulty gun owners' have in the garden state. I look forward to discussions regarding those issues as well as gaining knowledge and dispensing some as well. I have been a loyal gun owner and shooter since being a youth with my Dad (WW2 Vet) teaching me to handle, maintain, shoot, and most importantly RESPECT my firearms. Later on in my life Uncle Sam built on that base knowledge. I hope to talk to all members very soon.

where do you go shooting in Atlantic county?

At the Atlantic County range, or at a private range......not too many options anymore. When I was a kid, I used to put my rifle of choice over my shoulder and ride my bike to a nearby borrow pit (gravel pit) and shoot. Many a time a LEO or Game Warden would stop by to check me out, always friendly and offfering advise with tips on shooting......differant time and attitudes now.

Welcome, can't ride a bike with a 22 anymore in NJ. We use to do it all the time by Scotch Plains about 23 years ago.

Ocean City here. Been to the Atlantic County range. Usually shoot out at South Jersey Shooting Club in Winslow.

I remember when we rode our bikes with the rifle down to where Raritan Center is now near Exit 10. It was still called the arsenal.
