You have to admire Glock's marketing team. Add some front serrations, change a color, add an X to the random numbers they already have and viola you have a new gun. It's genius.

Bold new graphics and jetting changes. Lmao oh and clickers are changed a smidge

no the p-01 is different.  It beat every handgun on the planet in reliability testing for nato.  You want to talk about a great handgun, not sure how anyone can claim it over the p-01 with it's reliance on reliability, parts compatibility across cz lines, and accuracy.  it's an uberweapon...oh and it's small!

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my CZs and even though I do not own a P01 I know they are good.

From the self defense/CCW perspective my two knocks on it would be (vs say a Glock 19) is the weight... it is 28.1 oz vs 21 oz and the fact that the slide, like other CZ 75 slides, is thin and makes it much tougher to manipulate with one hand (if need be).

Basically an extra half a pound to lug around.

SW, Ruger, HK, CZ... they all wish they could do that. =)  Although HK I think is close... you can put HK on anything and folks would buy it.

I do believe though that in this case... it is a gun people were asking for.

The 19X was merely the smart decision to take advantage of the gun already built for other contracts.

I've read the 19x was only going to be limited run/special edition thing, and the G45 was going to be the permanent replacement. But the sales of the 19x are so strong they decided to keep producing it in tandem with  the G45.

you couldn't give me a glock.  If I wanted ugly, I'd date a drag queen...lol

Believe me, I am in the same boat as you... and I let the Glock marketing manager know that every year when I see him at Shot.

Even still, I own 2 glocks, a Gen 3 and Gen 4 22.  Now that I am in "America" also looking at add 19/19x/43/43x/48 or something of that extent.

Beyond that, they proudly support the shooting sports, USPSA, GSSF, IDPA and take care of LEO and loyal customers.

From the pistol side, you have to give them credit that almost no matter what model of Glocks you pick up, it is the same shooting experience, they point the same, shoot the same, etc.  From the training perspective very much to like... (despite the mush of a trigger stock.)

You can't say the same thing for other manufacturers as you have to really relearn every new trigger and gun they produce... very little to no commonality as a "platform."

People want to buy what the "operators" use...

In the case of the 19x... I like the color and when I shot it at Shot Show.... WOW... did it ever point and transition well.  Compact slide on a full sized frame is just a joy to shoot.  Am not surprised at all.

How do you insure the gun NEVER gets shot?  You do this.

Unfortunately I cannot get myself to admit that a glock is a collectible.

I see your Glock and raise you a 1911...

Now I am going to go throw up a little and beg for forgiveness of my 1911s.

love a 1911 although I only 1 and will probably get a commander at some point.  Other than my 686, I'm most accurate with the 1911.  the thing with a 1911 is you don't want tight tolerances and I think that is why some have issues.  It's amazing that older 1911s are reliable and newer ones are less so, ever wonder why?

Don't knock it till ya try it.

Anyone want to guess if he’s referring to Glock or other?

My wife likes Glock. I personally don’t shoot them well. But they are a reliable quality firearm. And it’s fun as hell busting the fanboys.

1 thing, the aftermarket is exceptional for Glock.

No doubt, this will be a great seller.

Creeping up to a Glock 19/26 size, no?

Looing forward to shooting it at Shot Show.

See what NSSF's stance was on the bump stock issue.

Have fun...

Agree.  Nicest compact 9mm handgun I've shot to date.  Although I've been out of the 9mm handgun market for a couple of years.  It's the one that when it does come to play, anyone that has messed with it usually goes looking for one.

How many 43 people are gonna go get the 43X? 50%?

couple months 43’s are gonna be bolivar cheap

Great question!

Really want to see at show the practical size difference between the two.

Can they over saturate themselves? They have a good price point, but they keep tweaking the models every few years. But I see 43x killing the 43

jeebus glocks are like I Phones now

No, don't see the 43x killing the 43... plenty will want the smaller grip of the 43. But yes, it will surely steal a lot of 43 sales.

I do think it will help keep kill the G42 (380) and anyone else considering an XDS, Shield, etc. as the capacity will no longer be an issue.

The G42 is in a separate class. You can drop it in your t-shirt pocket. You can't do that with any 9mms except the DB9.

I agree with that. The G42 rules. You can pocket carry it with shorts all day long and barely know it’s there. You can take it to the range and shoot it for hours with out getting beat up. It’s a good gun IMO.
