Has Cnjfo thought about gab vs Facebook.

or mewe?

Never heard of gab until tonight.  mewe is flooded with gun sellers since FB doesn't allow it.

Do either of these sites have links from newspapers, you tube, etc. on their pages to make sharing easier?  Forgive me, another 18 hr day so maybe I didn't type that right.  Looking for a logo to click on to take a video clip from one source & copy / paste to mewe or gab.  Haven't seen where I can do it.  Am I wrong?  People out there are more stupid than I about computers.

You might also want to reach out to Terry Beck on FB. You might want her to put a temporary link on CNJFO site.

Thanks Ed & thanks again for your generous gift to help make LIBERTY HAPPEN!

P.S.:  Hunt got postponed because both Governors already declared states of emergency & closed the roads to all but emergency traffic.  So enjoy making some scratch doing the plowing & stay safe!

#14  CHEESEMAN-JILLARD LAWSUIT RECEIVES MATCHING FUNDS CHECK AT SOUTH JERSEY 2A EVENT!

CNJFO PRESENTS $11K TO CHEESEMAN-JILLARD SUITS!
$5,000 MATCHING FUNDS CAMPAIGN A HUGE SUCCESS!
by Black Wire Media Monday Jan. 21, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

History was made in South Jersey Thursday evening at the New Jersey Constitutional Republicans meeting as CNJFO Officers David "Rosey" Rosenthal, Vice President, along with Treasurer Jack Pyle and Communications Director Theresa Inacker, proudly presented a check for $11,000 to Mark Cheeseman, John Jillard and Jay Factor in front of a packed room of Patriots, to aid them in bringing forth their lawsuit to bring about the right to carry firearms outside the home for all law abiding NJ gun owners!

The funds were raised through a well-publicized matching funds campaign run by Jack Pyle, with CNJFO promissing to match dollar-for-dollar up to the first $5,000 donated to Cheeseman-Jillard through its' special "drop-down" on its' web page. Contributors responded to our impassioned plea by donating an additional $1,000, thus making the check total $11,000! A big thanks to all that donated from all of us at the Coalition!

The 2nd Amendment was celebrated in a big way. The New Jersey Constitutional Republicans held their first meeting of the new year on Thursday January 17th at The Grove at Centerton Country Club in Pittsgrove, NJ. John Robert Carman, President of NJCR, invited the slate of speakers and the well advertised seminar filled the room. NJCR hosted the seminar on the State of the Second Amendment in NJ, inviting CNJFO Vice President David "Rosey" Rosenthal, CNJFO Communications Director Theresa Inacker, Right to Carry Plaintiff Mark Cheeseman, and 2A Historian Jay Factor to each give a presentation to the room-filled audience.

Rosenthal led off the foursome with a presentation on how incrementalism of NJ firearms law has affected his 47 years of life experience with firearms. Inacker spoke of the impact of Constitutional law and how NJ blatantly obfuscates it, and how being that blatant & overbearing makes it even more likely for SCOTUS to grant Cert & hear the case. Cheeseman delivered an address outlining his 13 background checks, being denied a carry permit for "lack of urgent necessity", how a neighbor that doesn't like him could "swat" him with the new "Red Flag" law, and a promise to take the Cheeseman-Jillard lawsuits all the way to SCOTUS! 2A Historian Jay Factor gave us the history behind the infamous "Siccardi Rule" that led to NJ adopting its' "Justifiable Need" scheme without even voting on it, dispelled the myth of a National Guard needing to be the "well-regulated" part of the 2nd Amendment (well-regulated meant fighting farmers, tradesmen, and common folk having the necessary tools, arms, powder, ball & shot, as well as canteen & blanket roll), and other important historical references. The presentations ran till 9pm or so, and several attendees became new members of the Coalition, donated or bought swag & apparel.

Future CNJFO "Road Shows" are being planned throughout the state for this year as we hope to bring Freedom's message to your area soon. As details are made available we'll be sure to spread the word. NJCR's next guest speaker will be NJ State Assemblyman Michael Patrick Carroll.

#21  COLANDRO & ROSENTHAL EARN NRA-ILA AWARDS BESTOWED UPON THEM AT NRA BOD MEETING!

NRA'S CLUB CONNECTION MAGAZINE PUBLISHES PRESENTATIONS W/ LT. COL OLIVER NORTH & NRA-ILA'S CHRIS COX!

TRULY HUMBLED, NJ PAIR GETS PLAQUED BY NRA BOD!
COLANDRO & ROSENTHAL EARN NRA-ILA DISTINCTION!
by Black Wire Media Editor-in-Chief David "Rosey" Rosenthal
Wednesday January 30, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Making a difference. Doing it every day, day-in & day-out. Setting GOALS & achieving them with the help of your TEAM, and being too busy to care if anyone is watching. That, in a nutshell is what it takes to be a leader. To be the BEST you can be! For Anthony Colandro and I it seems we had some folks watching. Folks like NRA-ILA's Christian Ragosta. Grass Roots activism is a huge part of the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action. More on this later.

Becoming a target. That's what it takes to get the job done. A target of criticism, a target of jealousy, a target of the power brokers & politicians that want to hold onto, ever so desperately, their self-importance. Leaders know they have a target on their backs. They don't care. They do what the mission calls for. They take the heat. It's their JOB. Colandro & I each have a target on our backs, and his is YUUUGE cause he puts himself WAY out there every Sunday with GunForHire Radio's million listeners worldwide.

Helping others help themselves. Becoming a volunteer, a committee member, a writer, an instructor, a mentor, a sponsor, a hunter, a sporting clays aficionado, a friend, a philanthropist. These and so many other important people at your side, sometimes behind the scenes, all doing their part to HELP the NJ gun owner understand that he or she "owns & handles firearms AT THEIR OWN PERIL" (Editor's Note: spoken in open court by a Superior Court Judge!). That's how you get noticed. That's how you EARN one of these prestigious awards.

The NRA-ILA has people that run it. Paid staff like Christian in the Grass Roots Division. They don't stop there. They find folks like Anthony and I and do their absolute best to support our ongoing projects, thereby helping to increase NRA membership & involvement in important legal battles. Hosting Tony Simon's Diversity Shoots or supplying volunteer instructors for same. Teamwork makes things HAPPEN! The NRA is US! You, me, all of US. We're a TEAM! There's no "I" in TEAM.

I'm proud to have been selected as a recipient of this prestigious Jay M. Littlefield Memorial Award for NRA-ILA 2017 Volunteer of the Year. Working with Anthony Colandro in the trenches fighting to restore 2nd Amendment RIGHTS for all New Jerseyians is truly a daunting task. One which would be nearly impossible without his support & mentorship. CNJFO would have never grown to be the largest & busiest NJ gun owners' independent Second Amendment group without the help and encouragement of our good friend Anthony. Congratulations on your achievement and continued success working TOGETHER to restore carry rights to us 3rd Class Peasants!

To the many CNJFO members, friends, committee people, sponsors & supporters, thank you all for your continued devotion to our educational mission and Lawsuit Matching Funds Campaigns!

#22  REDEFINING MISUSED TERMS THAT ANTI'S LOVE TO THROW IN YOUR FACE!

HOW TO DEFEAT ANTI GUN ZEALOTS AT THEIR OWN GAME!
IN THE BATTLE FOR MINDS, COMMUNICATION IS KEY!
By Theresa Inacker, CNJFO Communications Director & former Managing Editor of the Seton Hall Constitutional Law Journal
Thursday January 31, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Language matters in our battle to keep and bear arms for all lawful purposes.

NBC in New York recently reported that a New Jersey man fought off an “unwanted house visitor.”

Of course, “unwanted house visitor” is a euphemism for more truthful phrase “armed intruder" conducting a Home Invasion!

The rights-minded individual immediately recognizes these sugar-coated phrases, but there is nothing sweet about it. The anti-rights mob is subtly commandeering the narrative, influencing the people in the middle - those who don’t yet know what all the fuss is about. The people in the middle hear about mass shootings, and assault rifles. They hear about universal background checks, common sense gun laws, and preventing gun violence—and they think, who could be against that? Only bad people, of course.

Make no mistake, my patriot friends, these word games are deliberate. The anti-rights mob follows their “Gun Control Playbook” ensuring they are effectively communicating their message.

Why don’t we do the same? Here are some examples of how the anti-rights mob is using language against you, and how YOU can take back control and use effective communication.

WEAPON: You should call it a Firearm. Weapon has a negative connotation. None of my firearms have ever been used as weapons. Many of you may have learned this in basic NRA courses.

ASSAULT RIFLE, ah, the most ubiquitous phrase: why not ask ‘what is an assault rifle?’ There will be no answer, or it will be a vague reference to any scary black gun. Take the opportunity to educate someone who knows nothing about the AR platform. Let’s call it the MODERN SPORTING RIFLE.

MILITARY STYLE WEAPONS: This automatically convinces the folks in the middle that any scary, black gun in the hands of a civilian is something beyond his or her ability to own and handle, most excessive and unnecessary and it should be forbidden.

NEED: Nobody NEEDS (insert any subjective number greater than one) firearms, nobody NEEDS a military style weapon unless they’re going to war. It’s A RIGHT; not a NEED. Did Rosa Parks NEED to sit in the front of the bus? No, but you bet your life she had every RIGHT to.

MASS SHOOTING: it is mass murder. Let’s call it what it is. MURDER.

HIGH CAPACITY MAGAZINE: STANDARD magazine in free states.

FULL-SEMI AUTOMATIC; the anti-rights mob thrives on conflating the semi-automatic firearm with the automatic. This is to scare the folks in the middle making them believe that “automatic weapons” are around every corner and about to kill them, diminishing your ownership of anything semi-automatic.

UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECKS: background checks to which criminals never have, and never will submit.

PREVENTING GUN VIOLENCE: this is code for stricter controls on the law-abiding only, with zero effect on violence. VIOLENCE IS VIOLENCE and we are AGAINST VIOLENCE.

COMMON SENSE GUN LAWS: more anti-rights demands made against the law-abiding.

SHOOT TO KILL: this is how the anti’s refer to STAND YOUR GROUND LAWS.

WILD WEST: lawful concealed carry, especially for Pizza deliveries in Sen. Weinberg's Teaneck, NJ.

WELL-REGULATED: the anti's never apply correct historical context to this one. Put simply, it means a standard of readiness needed to join the fight for American Independence. Like two front opposed teeth to rip open paper cartridges of powder & ball.

The anti-rights mob avoids using facts or waiting for facts to come in after any event. This is deliberate and straight out of their handbook. Just like never letting a crisis go to waste.

Emotions drive everything; facts are not of interest to the anti-rights mob. Facts hurt their cause.

The anti-rights mob uses individuals (ex: Stoneman-Douglas students; remember the Newtown, CT parents paraded into the NJ Senate chambers by Sweeney and Weinberg?); Put a FACE on it- this is also in their manual and very deliberate.

MILITARY STYLE WEAPONS: This automatically convinces the folks in the middle that any scary, black gun in the hands of a civilian is something beyond his or her ability to own and handle, most excessive and unnecessary and it should be forbidden.

We’ve all had those ad nauseum conversations with an anti-rights person spewing the above without knowing any facts. Time to take back the power of language. I simply tell them, if you don’t like the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, all you have to do is change the Constitution.

What other euphemisms and phrases would you add to this list? Discuss please!

#23  CNJFO FILES AMICUS BRIEF ON ROGERS NJ CARRY CASE

(THE SAME CASE THAT THE NRA & 23 STATE ATTORNEYS GENERAL FILED BRIEFS FOR)

*BREAKING*-CNJFO JOINS IN AMICUS BRIEF SUPPORTING CHALLENGE TO NEW JERSEY CARRY LAW—BRIEF SUBMITTED TO SCOTUS TODAY

Sewell, NJ – The Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners ("CNJFO") has joined several other parties in filing an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court, asking the Court to accept for review a case that challenges the “need” standard that is at the heart of New Jersey’s restrictive carry law.

The case is Rogers v. Grewal. Attorneys general from 23 states, The NRA, and the American Civil Rights Union have also asked the high court for review in a separate brief.

The case involves New Jersey resident Thomas R. Rogers, who applied for a handgun permit some two years ago because he carries large amounts of cash in order to service ATM machines. His application was denied because his local police chief felt Rogers did not have a justifiable need to be armed under state law.

Along with CNJFO, Mark Cheeseman, John Jillard, Jay Factor, Jeff Muller, George Greco and The Second Amendment Foundation ("SAF") participated in the filing of the brief.

A copy of the brief can be found here: http://bit.ly/2G5a5ZY

#25  GOOBER THE GHOST GUN CHASER THINKS HE'S ABOVE THE CONSTITUTION & GOES AFTER FREE SPEECH!

NJ's AG "GREWAL THE GHOST GUN CHASER" IS AT IT AGAIN!
ANJRPC's ATTORNEY DANIEL SCHMUTTER REPS PLAINTIFFS!
by Black Wire Media Wednesday Feb. 6, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Information is POWER. Some folks are afraid of us commoners having to much information, and will do any precedent-setting abuse of their office to extort their will upon us in the name of "public safety". The blatantly unconstitutional attempt to force the removal of a website or its' contents is Orwellian at best (some would call it TREASON), and if allowed to continue, literally threatens the very threads that hold the United States Constitution together!

3-D printing is the newest "Genie out of the bottle". Like it or not it's a technology that's here to stay. The application of "Feel-Good" gun law INCREMENTALISM is out of control in Trenton! The Murphy administration will never stop abusing its' sacred trust. They must be SUED into oblivion if this abuse is to ever cease. We congratulate our friend Dan Schmutter for representing NJ gun owners, the 2nd Amendment, the 1st Amendment, and all that is holy!

Then I can monitor both the Event Page on the hot link above^^^ & this thread so I have an edumacated guess.

Yesterday, I attended Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays in Coplay, PA for the first time! I went with @Mrs.Zeke to their NRA Women on Target event - more on that later. I feel very grateful to have attended (and, again, thanks to @Ms. 12 Gauge for letting me know about the event!) Here's my feedback:
Sporting Clays: Yikes, what a fun shooting sport!!  If you don't know anything about it, you are moving through a course and at each station there's clays being thrown different ways (varying direction, speed, even a type called a rabbit that rolls along the ground). It's challenging. And for even more challenge, they have 3 defined courses there - beginner, intermediate and advanced. So think of it like a golf course - each station is like a hole - they even have gas-powered golf carts you can rent, or little scooters (I think those are free) and little wheelie carts (also free). The operation is year-round.
LVSC: I haven't been to other sporting clays ranges, so I can't compare per se, but I can say this one was really "atmospheric" - and as a lover of all things Victorian, it was just my cup of tea.  It's set in a long-abandoned 1800's quarry operation. So, the old, roofless, dilapidated buildings have been taken over by trees and undergrowth - but they still hold a unique beauty (the great masonry, old arched window frames, etc. - it was like some of those photos from urban explorers who enter abandoned sites). It must look amazing in fall or after a fresh snow! Even better, one station we were at is located right over water (presumably, the old quarry pit). So, you're standing on this little covered deck, looking out across a sparkling body of water, with cliffs opposite you, trees above that and a perfect blue sky up above. Wow. Hey, did I mention it's a GREAT-LOOKING place? (LOL) Much of the course, blessedly, was in shade. And all the little stations have roofs so you've always got a little spot of shade on a hot day. The main building where you sign in was large, nicely air-conditioned (helpful yesterday of all days), well-appointed, kind of a rustic hunting lodge vibe, but very modern and clean, too (including a nice clean ladies room with the de-lead soap, etc.) The staff were all very friendly - and our instructor, Bob Broderick, was fantastic! I recommend him highly. A lot of things "clicked" for me yesterday in terms of understanding the process - that's the power of a good instructor! Here's their website: https://www.lvsclays.com/
NRA Women on Target: The NRA and their partner ranges really do a great job on these events! They are designed to attract women to the shooting sports, so they're quite literally giving stuff away. This deal was so slammin' - it was impossible to pass up! FIFTY BUCKS covered the entire afternoon program. They initially had us in a room  for about an hour where we filled out paperwork and had some classroom instruction about safety, etc. We then picked up the included cold drinks, eye and ear pro, plus a loaner shotgun and instructor for each group... our little sub-group had 4 women and 2 golf carts (carts also included!!)… and we were on the course for a good 2 hours at least... with each one of us getting one-on-one attention and guidance from the instructor at each station (that alone was worth more than 50 bucks!!). Afterwards, we returned to the same room where they had snacks, more ice-cold beverages, certificates and "swag bags" which, best of all, included a coupon for 10% off of a private lesson (expires end of this year).  I have no idea what that would package would cost normally, but looking at the website, I'm guessing at least 125 or more each?
So, if you haven't been to LVSC yet, I urge you to check it out! It's LOTS of fun. I know CNJFO is doing a fundraiser there this month - I'm sure you'd have a fantastic time AND you'd be contributing to the 2A cause at the same time. So, I'll add that link here:
In addition, I plan to get on the email list for their NRA Women on Target events (apparently, LVSC sponsors about 3 a year). Though I can't go again (it's for sporting clays first-timers only), I intend to advertise them in the future under our "events" section... so you can all pass the word to women shooters you know. Believe me, anyone who went would enjoy it. All the ladies who went yesterday (I'd say it was about 15-20) had a real blast!

With so many registered shoots going on, I thought I'd try a new range in South Jersey and visited Quinton in Salem County and have since gone back.
It's a nice facility overall, offering Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays and 5-Stand. I've been there twice for Trap and Sporting Clays and both were busy, but not crowded. On the Trap field, the shooters were pretty laid back and friendly and the woman, Lisa, who was running the show was super helpful. I went with my son and both being new to Trap, I appreciated the advice from the guys just hanging out. It's the kind of place that gets a lot of regulars and they sit around and chew the fat and, when there's enough for a squad, or when Lisa is trying to fill a squad, someone will get up and join. You know there are regulars when a shooter goes down into the trap house to check on the trap or set it up for doubles. It was a pretty good mix of people, yeah, plenty of middle-aged and elderly men, but a few women and juniors as well.  It was a very comfortable place to shoot and I recommend it, though it is a haul (for me) being so far south.
They only have one Sporting Clay course as far as I know and it's nicely laid out in the woods along winding, stoned paths. We found the presentations fairly hard - definitely more difficult than the Woods course at Cedar Creek, for example. Lots of longer distance targets.
I don't shoot skeet but they have a couple of skeet ranges that look to be in good condition. I've not seen anyone on the skeet range either time I've been there.
Prices per round weren't bad - $30 for 100 Sporting Clays and $5 for a round of Trap (non-member prices). Clubhouses are nice. No ammo for sale.

At the risk of crowding up the joint, TNT Reloading is open this Saturday... So, to make the run a bit more productive, I'll be going for a round at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays.

Always a nice walk/drive, nice scenery, and some of the best presentations in the northeast (seriously). Anybody up for the short notice?

(Need a ride? Between NY metro and PA along 78, I've got a spot or two)
