#60  USPSA GRAND MASTER EMILY CUTTS, 15, OF TEAM TANDEM KROSS, INSTRUCTS YOUNGIN'S FOR CNJFO  YOUTH SHOOT AT UNION HILL GUN CLUB SUNDAY JUNE 23RD.

I'm working on a story & Photo lay-out that will probably be ready to post tomorrow but in the meantime I'd figured you all would enjoy a 15 year old instructing a 9 year old.  Emily Cutts is a great example of this next generation standing-up!  I understand this kid's grandpop is a member here.  I didn't write-down his "handle" so I can't tag him correctly.  I'll try a reverse-tag on Facebook :)

Hi Rosey, yes, that is my grandson Cameron.  It was a great event. Cam really enjoyed the experience as well as all the stuff in the gift bag. In fact, he wore the camo cap he got all day today.   My son and his wife had to work so could not attend. However, we are all so proud of him.  I cannot thank all of you enough for all the hard work it took to make this opportunity available.   So a big thank you to CNJFO, UHGC, ROC Training, Legend Firearms, all the volunteers, and all the corporate sponsors (Keystone/Cricket, GunForHire, Henry, Tandemkross, .....).  There is no doubt in my mind that this experience will be a lasting positive  memory for all these kids.

Best regards,  Art

@oldguysrule649 Art,

Pleasure meeting you both last Sunday at our event.  So glad Cameron enjoyed time with his grandpa.  Thanks for trusting us to take good care of the boy and teach him a life lesson.  That video of Cam being instructed by Ms. Emily Cutts, a USPSA Grand Master at 15 years of age, speaks volumes about what can be accomplished by encouraging kids to take-up the shooting sports.  Thanks also for the kudos (I'll be sure to pass-along to the Troops) and please remember to thank our sponsors, for without their help we'd never be able to afford to put on a "top shelf" program such as this.

All the best and hope to see you and Cam again!

#61  CNJFO YOUTH SHOOT SUNDAY JUNE 23RD AT UNION HILL GUN CLUB---MAKING 21ST CENTURY PATRIOTS ONE KID AT A TIME!

CNJFO TEACHES KIDS GUN SAFETY & TO SHOOT!
YOUTH DAY DRAWS 20 1ST-TIMERS & PARENTS!
by Black Wire Media Tuesday June 25, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

As part of our ongoing commitment to firearms education & awareness, 20 youth ages 7-18 were given a safety class, and then trained by well over a dozen CNJFO Instructor-Volunteers during a LIVE-FIRE Training Session held at the Union Hill Gun Club range in Monroe Twp., NJ last Sunday. Each eager youth was gifted swag bags from our gracious sponsors, fed chicken fingers, hot dogs and mac & cheese and then helped with eye & ear protection prior to the live fire session that featured (5) single-shot Keystone Cricket .22 cal rifles donated to the Coalition by Keystone Sporting Arms, Inc. as part of their ongoing effort to train America's youth in the safe & responsible recreational use of sporting arms.

To supplement Keystone's gift, approx. two dozen firearms from CNJFO Youth Day Committee Chair Eric Saperstein's extensive .22 rimfire collection were on-hand and several Instructor-Volunteers brought fine examples from their collections. Henry lever-action & pump-action repeaters, a Sharps, a Ruger American w/ scope, S&W M and P, and a lot more made up the huge selection for the kids to pick from.

Our Instructors were led by CNJFO Life Member Rocco LaRocca, NRA Training Counselor and owner of R.O.C. Training, based at Union Hill Gun Club. LaRocca & his staff gave a safety brief to the Instructors and then held a basic gun safety class custom designed for our youth participants. Instructors came from as far as Orange Co., NY and Tabernacle, NJ to volunteer at this inaugural Youth Day shoot. NRA-ILA's Mark Galey came from Fairfax, VA bearing swag for all attendees.
____________________________________________

OUR YOUNGEST INSTRUCTOR IS A SPECIAL LADY!

USPSA Grand Master & Static Steel Champion Emily Cutts, age 15, from team TandemKross, hails from Tabernacle, NJ. Emily was our youngest Instructor and enjoyed "giving-back" to the sport she loves and we thoroughly enjoyed watching her instruct eager kids taking their first shots with this Jersey celeb! CNJFO President Matt Andras published a Facebook-Live video of Coalition Vice President, David "Rosey" Rosenthal introducing Emily as she was instructing. Joined by her parents Doug & Lorie Cutts, the entire family came to volunteer and support our mission. Doug & Emily each instructed in their own ports while Lorie sold raffle tickets and held everything together for Youth Day Chair Eric Saperstein. We can't thank them enough for their time, travel and dedication to teaching NJ youth to shoot safe & responsibly!
____________________________________________

In addition to the Cutts family, several other NJ notables enjoyed bringing wide smiles to the faces of our first-timers. Tony Simon from The 2nd is for Everyone: Diversity Shoot, Mickey Palma of R.O.C. Training, Grant Gallagher from ScotShot Grant (a NRA Training Counselor), CNJFO Trustee Dan Grdovic, Membership Committee Co-Chair Jaime Rivera, Annie Bella, Martin Tremarko, Membership Committee Chair Michele Rivera and Coalition VP David "Rosey" Rosenthal.

The girls & boys each had a parent or guardian with them, and extra "eyes & ears" were made available through a donation by Radians. This enabled moms & dads to capture video & stills of their children taking their first shots with our Coalition Instructor-Volunteers as each child moved from port-to-port thus gaining knowledge on all available .22 rimfire platforms: Single-shot (donated Crickets), bolt-action, slide-action, lever-action and semi-auto repeating rifles.

Targets were donated by long-time CNJFO sponsor Speedwell Targets of Frenchtown, NJ and the .22 cal ammo was donated by new sponsor Cheyenne Mountain Outfitters in Bordentown, NJ. Our friends at Black Bag Resources & NJ Concealment Furniture gave us the Foam Action Sports Blocks (rifle rests), and both Gun For Hire range and US Law Shield gifted goody bags to every shooter. Top Shot's Chris Cheng sent Saperstein a case of his hardcover book; TandemKross, Modern Materials, Coiled Rattler Products, Henry Repeating Arms, and 2A4E all donated swag items. B.S.T. Images provided stills and Robert Gourly provided video coverage of the event.

The Coalition is proud to bring education & awareness of the safe handling of firearms to youth and their parents for they are our most valuable asset to ensure what the founding fathers of this great country of ours entrusted us to look after & cherish---THE SECOND AMENDMENT! Plans for additional "Youth Day" Shoots are being formulated. If you like what we're doing, please consider a tax-deductible donation of any amount to: www.cnjfo.com/Donate . Likewise you don't have to be a firearms owner or even a NJ resident to JOIN: www.cnjfo.com/join-us . We thank you and NJ's next generation of shooting Patriots thanks you too!

#63 MINUTEMAN CHALLENGE VISIT...

ROSEY STANDS-IN AS R-O FOR TONY SIMON JUST DAYS AFTER TONY LEAVES HOSPITAL!   IT'S WHAT FRIENDS DO!

MINUTEMAN CHALLENGE TEACHES "SMOOTH IS FAST" RULE!
MASTERING MULTIPLE PLATFORMS IS KEY TO WINNING COMP!
by Black Wire Media Tuesday July 9, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

On Sunday Tony Simon & Sean Fisher's .22 LR semi-auto rifle competition, known far & wide as the "Minuteman Challenge", took place at Ft. Dix Range #14. Except for the course of fire being explained for each relay, loading your mags & posting targets, EVERYTHING HAPPENS ON-THE-CLOCK! So mag changes, feeding problems, duds, etc. all have to be handled as smoothly as possible! The old adage, "SMOOTH IS FAST" is certainly true here! Several CNJFO members frequent these challenges, with each competition requiring a different type of gun (platform). July 28th is semi-auto pistol. Go have some FUN w/ Sean & Tony! #64  NOT EVERY 2A GROUP HAS AN ATTORNEY ON THEIR E-BOARD THAT CAN STAND IN FRONT OF "THE SUPREMES" :)

No photo description available.

INACKER ADMITTED TO THE SUPREME COURT BAR!
CNJFO COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR TAKES OATH!
by Black Wire Media Monday July 8, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

IT'S OFFICIAL, THE CERTIFICATE HAS BEEN RECEIVED!
(Black Wire Media reprint from May 13, 2019).

Theresa Inacker, Communications Director for the Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners, did swear an oath and was admitted to the United States Supreme Court Bar earlier today in Washington, D.C. A bucket list item for the former Managing Editor of the Seton Hall Constitutional Law Journal, Inacker took her daughter Mary on the trip to show her to always follow her dreams. The mother-daughter duo watched Justice Kavanagh read the Apple opinion, and Justice Thomas read two others. Associate Justice Ginsburg and Chief Justice Roberts both came to speak to the admissions group after the formal proceeding.
Inacker has been an attorney for 19 years since graduating from Seton Hall Law School here in NJ. An avid gun owner, target shooter and pheasant hunter, her volunteer career in 2A advocacy is known throughout NJ and we're proud to have her as our Communications Director! TV appearances, interviews, quoted by state & nationally syndicated newspapers, representing the Coalition at 2A Rallies, Inacker pours her heart & soul into the 2nd Amendment. From all of us at the Coalition, Congratulations on this great achievement and continued success in all your endeavors!

EDITOR's NOTE: ^^^The caption line, "I'd die for my country" beneath the certificate image sorta reminds us of "Our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor" from the Declaration of Independence. How fitting for her certificate to arrive over the July 4th weekend. Congrats fellow Patriot!

#65  A "ROSEY'S RAMBLING":  I RANT ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF GETTING THE NEXT GENERATION TO THE RANGE!

CNJFO WISHES EVERYONE A HAPPY & SAFE JULY 4TH!
HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF IF YOU DON'T LEARN FROM IT!
Rosey's Ramblings, a Special to Black Wire Media
Wednesday July 3, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

The hypocrisy is mind-bogglingly accurate to a "T". This great country of ours was formed through the toil of subjects yearning to be FREE. Men and women stockpiling the most modern firearms of the time period as well as tons of explosives & lead to make them work. Our National Anthem is about fighting our oppressors, killing them, and blowing them & their SH!T up with "BOMBS BURSTING IN AIR".

243 years later we sit around our big-screen TV's and complain this same music isn't sound-synced properly. Or our beer is warm, or our burger is cold. How stupid we all are. What we should be doing, if we really cared about independence from oppression, is TAKING THE ENTIRE FAMILY TO THE RANGE for MARKSMENSHIP TRAINING, and then posting photos of the adventure onto every social media platform that exists, and do so with the hashtag, #FreedomNeedsPracticed .

So, please for the love of God & Country, find some time in your busy schedules (IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DONE SO) to pick-up firearms and PRACTICE YOUR FREEDOM! The freedom that was bought & paid for with the blood of your ancestors. You know the ones. They're easy to spot. They've fought for us all in Wars since the first shots were fired in Lexington & Concord. The ones with flags marking their final resting places. They've been turning-over in their graves so much they might as well be on a rotisserie spit!

You want to learn US History? Teach kids US History? Start by teachin' them to respect firearms as #ToolsOfFreedom .

Now let that beer stay cold in the fridge or cooler a few moments longer and TAKE A KID TO THE RANGE!

#66  CNJFO FILES AMICUS BRIEF WITH SCOTUS FOR MARK CHEESEMAN'S "JUSTIFIABLE NEED" CARRY CASE!!!

BREAKING!!
CNJFO FILES AMICUS BRIEF FOR CHEESEMAN CASE!!
by Black Wire Media Thursday July 18, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

TOGETHER WE MAKE HISTORY! For the second time this year, and with the help & support of our members, sponsors, friends and those who contributed to our Lawsuit Fund, the Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners is proud to announce that on behalf of all legal firearm owners in NJ, we've officially filed a "friend-of-the-Court" brief explaining to SCOTUS why NJ GUN LAWS ARE UNCONSTITUTIONAL! This brief strongly supports Mark Cheeseman's case highlighting the abuse of the NJ gun owner by subjecting him/her to the patently ILLEGAL "Justifiable Need" Rule that prevents carrying self defense weapons outside of your home or business using a "case-by-case basis" as was made ILLEGAL via the Dick Heller decision 11 years ago!

We're proud of everyone that helped bring this amicus brief to fruition, especially our well-known 2nd Amendment Patriots, Attorneys Alan Beck and Stephen Stamboulieh. Their tireless efforts and keen insight combined with historical documentation discovered by our own member Jay Factor, resulted in this historical PLEA FOR RELIEF OF PERSECUTION!

Please consider helping us in any way you possibly can: Join or RENEW today, make a donation or planned MONTHLY GIFT, or buy an apparel item.  Every dollar counts!  Thanks EVERYONE for helping to make this happen!  ON TO VICTORY!

#67  2A GROUP GETS NATIONAL COVERAGE!  CNJFO EX. BOARD MEMBERS ATTEND CHRIS CUOMO CNN TOWN HALL LAST NIGHT!

CNJFO "MAKES AIR" ON CNN TOWN HALL LAST NIGHT!
INACKER ASKS THE PANEL ONLY PRO-GUN QUESTION!
by Black Wire Media Thursday August 8, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

CNJFO Communications Director Theresa Inacker asked the only pro-gun, pro 2nd Amendment question of the entire national broadcast on last night's CNN Town Hall "America Under Assault: The Gun Crisis" hosted by Chris Cuomo! Inacker asked Cuomo and the panel of 2 consisting of the former Philadelphia, PA Police Commissioner and a Brady campaign spokesperson, "Do you believe a woman has a right to chose whether or not to defend her own body? And in the manner she chooses? And the government should NOT interfere with that decision?" Inacker's question caught all three men off-guard, with the Police Commissioner agreeing that deadly force is sometimes necessary and Cuomo admitting he owned a gun!

Last night's appearance on CNN came about because an assistant producer at the network sought-out CNJFO Vice President David "Rosey" Rosenthal, asking him to appear on the Town Hall and invited Rosenthal to submit three questions for the panelists. Rosenthal, realizing that Inacker stood a better chance of "making AIR" (getting to ask a question), immediately asked the assistant producer if Inacker could attend in his place. The end result is they both were invited & submitted questions on an electronic form, in advance of the show airing. Although all three of his questions remain unasked, here is what Rosenthal submitted:

1. "If the next five unconstitutional gun laws stop the problem of mass shootings and murder WILL YOU STOP promoting gun control?"

2. "Who exactly is going door-to-door to confiscate legally-purchased personal property in the name of "feel-good legislation" and are the criminals that use illegal guns against society going to be visited FIRST or will the legal, law-abiding, registered gun owners be disarmed and made vulnerable to the criminal element? In what Utopia is this scheme going to work?"

3. "There's over 20,000 gun control laws on the books throughout America. Crafted mostly by Politicians that say things like this, "What makes guns so special, we vote on things we know nothing about all the time!" --NJ State Senator Loretta Weinberg direct quote. So when do we start having a serious discussion whereby the law-abiding gun owner isn't locked-up because a new law makes them an instant felon before the ink is dry?"

In addition to Inacker and Rosenthal, CNJFO President Matt Andras was in the audience sandwiched between a slew of "Brady Campaign" paid lobbyists. Andras and Rosenthal tried to drive to Tony Simon's house (CNJFO got him an official invite also), but due to torrential rains & flooded streets, couldn't pick up Simon to drive to NYC.

Representing a pro-2nd Amendment viewpoint on the national stage is both an honor and an awesome responsibility. The Coalition will always strive to represent legal, law-abiding gun owners everywhere. As a federal & NJ state non-profit, tax-exempt corporation we can accept gifts in any amount from all 50 states. We NEED YOUR HELP TO WIN, so please consider a monthly planned gift, a one-time donation, or a membership in NJ's busiest 2nd Amendment group by visiting www.cnjfo.com/Donate

#70  CHESSEMAN & FACTOR DRAW THE MOST-EVER TO CNJFO's FUNDRAISING CLAY SHOOT HELD 8-11-19!

CNJFO CLAYS TOURNAMENT A HUGE SUCCESS!
CHEESEMAN, FACTOR, TENG & URSO GET PINS!
by Black Wire Media Tuesday August 13, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Sunday August 11th 35 shooters wore their souvenir t-shirts for our summer fundraiser as the Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners shot the Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays course. Proceeds from the 100-clay pigeon event are earmarked to offset expenses incurred submitting TWO amicus briefs to SCOTUS in the last six months! US Supreme Court petitioner & well-known 2nd Amendment advocate Mark Cheeseman, together with historian and NJ "Justifiable Need" gun law expert Jay Factor joined us for our most well attended clays tournament to date.

CNJFO presented its' prestigious Patriot Pin to Mark Cheeseman, Jay Factor, Rhiannon Teng and Carmen Urso for their unwavering support of the 2nd Amendment and CNJFO in particular. Congratulations also to Gerard Arose and Jon MacMillan (they couldn't attend). Tournament winner Justin Perkins received a $100 cash prize for scoring 92 x 100.

Our souvenir t-shirts emblazoned with, "CHEESEMAN & FACTOR, 5 BLACK ROBES TO NJ CARRY" were custom printed in their honor and feature the famous 7-color Lehigh Sporting Clays ducks & orange clays logo on back (yes we have a few extras). Cheeseman's case centers on the illegal application of "rules" that were merely "dreamed-up" and never actually made a part of law, and thus have been the scheme for not granting weapons carry.

Do they throw faster ones for the younger guys?

Yes, YES they do indeed @BobA, lol!  You might have had a great time with the faster ones too!

Truth be told, on approx. 3 hours sleep (insomnia from being in-charge, arriving at 7:30, buyin' & bringin' my own birthday cake for dessert and being the last one to leave), I managed to come-in 2nd or 3rd for the entire tournament (we'll NEVER really know which as I only asked for & rec'd the Winner's score for the $100 CASH prize) with a score of 89 x 100, and I shot the "True Pair" as true pair, and also shot a lot of Simo's instead of Report Pairs at various stations.  The Winner broke 92 targets!  My only child was there by my side & chop-bustin' the entire course, lol, so I'll take that new personal-best of 89 targets any day of the week!

I'll bet I would indeed.  We'll be busting some this Labor Day up in Maine at a secluded quarry we go to.  But I'm sure I won't touch your 89! I'll probably be picking up 89 to re-throw!   Many Happy returns!  Great looking cake too.

#71  NJ101.5 RADIO HOST THINKS KIDS & GUNZ IS A GOOD MIX & TEACHES DISCIPLINE!

NJ101.5 HOST STEVE TREVELISE> GUNS & KIDS GO TOGETHER!
SHOOTING TEACHES DISCIPLINE & ELIMINATES FEAR OF GUNS!
by Black Wire Media Wed. August 14, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

In an Op-Ed posted two days ago, NJ101.5 Radio Host Steve Trevelise commented on how a well-run Youth League run by the Franklin Rifle & Revolver Club, is training kids 12 & up how to shoot. We commend Trevelise for his fairness & his viewpoint! We know of several youth in NJ that have gotten a great education at such club matches and have taken their acquired skills and became sponsored youth shooters on the national stage! And yes this happens in NJ! Shooting is a normal activity, and as such it gets a terrible rap from the Anti's, which is a damn shame! We ran a Youth Day Shoot at Union Hill Gun Club in June. Taught 20 kids how to shoot, many took their first shots with us! We are planning more Youth Days at the Range. Because EDUCATION DEFEATS FEAR!

ANTI-GUN HACKS THREATEN SCOTUS WITH RESTRUCTURING!
TAKES CHUTZPAH FOR THIS NY CASE ALREADY GRANTED CERT!
by Black Wire Media Thursday August 15, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us
OP-ED by Matthew Andras, CNJFO President

The hypocrisy stinks to high heaven in this case. New York City has violated its citizens' constitutional rights for far too long, and now that they are at risk of getting spanked, they (NYC) tried to change their laws AFTER CERT WAS ALREADY GRANTED (the Court has already agreed to hear the case) in an attempt to declare the case "moot." The Supreme Court has told them not to do that as a response, but being NY, they are doing everything they can to not be ruled against.

NOW, here is where the hypocrisy comes in. Several senators have filed a brief, basically threatening the sitting US Supreme Court Justices not to rule in the plaintiffs' (NY State Rifle & Pistol Association--the state NRA affiliate) favor, because it will PREVENT other cites and states from passing or holding onto similar laws that violate citizens rights, and they simply just can't have that! So this amicus brief just filed threatens SCOTUS with restructuring that will "pack the Court" with as many as 15 Justices even though Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg already said that "9 seems to be the right number".

That takes real CHUTZPAH! Separation of powers? Not here folks! The blatant GALL exhibited by these political hacks, in saying that "the Court needs to HEAL" when on the verge of ruling in favor of a NYC resident being allowed to transport their legally purchased personal property outside of the five boroughs of NYC, to say a second home upstate, or a range or gunsmith outside the city OR THE STATE of NY, is to say the least, APALLING!

#73  TIRED OF THE ANTI'S USE OF "MILITARY GRADE" & "WEAPONS OF WAR"?  YEAH, CNJFO IS TOO!

WHAT IS MILITARY GRADE & WHY THE ANTI's SCARE US w/ IT?
by Nick Chiarchiaro for Black Wire Media Sunday, August 18, 2019

www.cnjfo.com/join-us   An Op-Ed with a rich historical perspective

What is military grade? What is so fearsome about the term that it has, by the actions of an irresponsible media, some people ‘shaking in their boots’ and politicians pontificating on things they know nothing about. Or more sadly, they know exactly what they are doing, spewing propaganda and inciting fear among the populace. Let’s take a journey to see if we can shed some honest to goodness light on the topic and get to the truth.

It was the summer of 1775, it was a particularly hot summer in the counties of Orange, Fauquier and Culpeper in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Four company’s of 50 men, were raised to fight in the War of Independence. Men from farms, backcountry woodsmen, merchants and laborer’s – citizens of the commonwealth, normal people, not professional soldiers - forming the militia, Riflemen. People who eked out a life in the wilderness with the common tools at hand, of which one happened to be the rifle hanging above the doorway.

They were dispatched to Hampton to assist in resisting an attempt by the British to land there and off load troops. British regulars, professional soldiers armed with in their mind’s, state of the art small arms, the Land Pattern Musket – a smooth bore weapon that was most useful when the ‘Lobster backs’ formed lines to create a volley & volume of unmatched fire. Little did they know that the Culpeper minutemen, citizens – the MILITIA, were armed with an equally state of the art weapon, a new but common weapon in the Americas, some from fine craftsmen in a place called Kutztown PA. The Pennsylvania rifle, the next iteration of the German Jaeger Rifle. A tool to tame the continent to put food on the table, to defend home and hearth and also for sport. A far superior weapon, the long rifle.

A common weapon that allowed an individual to place aimed, accurate fire out to an effective range of just under 200 yards. The landing never took place – the British were under such an intense accurate fusillade, they retired from the field, their shorter-range musket was no match for the longer-range rifle.
The common single shot rifle, in the hands of a common citizen, stopping an army, not a weapon of war – a tool. But nonetheless a military grade weapon by today’s silly definitions as it was used in combat.

As we move forward in American history, we see common everyday tools and items, being used as weapons of war, military grade if we continue to use the corruptible media and politician’s definitions.

The advancement through time we see the venerable and classic Winchester Lever action rifle become a military grade weapon, serving with the common citizen and the mounted cavalry. How many lever actions .30 Caliber rifles are there in the country?? Millions, of military grade weapons in military grade calibers.

You might ask yourself, what are military grade calibers? Well for one, the most common hunting caliber in North America, .30-06 is the military round of .30 caliber of 1906 – yet another common military grade component of a weapon of war used for common sporting uses.

When we got to Vietnam – there was a need for an accurate long-range interdiction weapon of war, beyond the Armalite rifle Model 16, with it’s diminutive .223/5.56 caliber round and short effective range. We needed to arm our snipers with this military grade weapon, and what fit the bill – the classic commercial grade Winchester Model 70 Bolt action rifle, in of course the .30-06 caliber, five shots. The rifle with an effective range of over 600 yards served with valor among the troops, as well as at home putting a lot of meat on the table across North America. As a point of reference, the Winchester Model 70 has been in continuous production since 1936 – million and millions of them were made and are now in the hands of – you guessed it, Riflemen.

Remember those folks? The folks that used common tools as weapons of war, tools that weren’t black and scary looking. They were made of wood and steel, used for good lawful purposes for defense of home and hearth, putting food on the table and serving the country as a weapon of war.

Today we see the narrative of disarmament, the attempt to define something that is in common use as a weapon of war because it looks scary. The politicians use tragedy perpetrated by evil people to suppress the rights of the common citizen that uses common tools to do all those things that the same tools have done for generations. Defend home and hearth, put food on the table and for sporting uses.

We cannot control the evil in men’s souls, evil men will perform evil deeds with any manner of tool that is at hand – military grade, or whatever silly definition we give it or not. As a nation we need to get to the root of evil in our nation, the root of what drives men to do evil things to their fellow man, not suppress rights of the common man or ban common in use tools used invariably time and again for lawful purposes.

We need to stop attempting to define something as a military grade weapon of war, whereas, anything can be defined as a weapon of war, if it can be used in a combat role.

LT Col Jeff Cooper once said, “The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles.”

The advancement of the notion that suppression of the right of the people to keep and bear arms is something that politicians should embark on, is folly. Those that would seek to corrupt our Republic and limiting our rights, the rights of law-abiding citizens, for the acts of madmen should take note.

Lest they forget, that in 1775 Riflemen using common tools stopped a world power in its tracks. Lest they forget that black scary looking rifles that they are attempting to define as a weapon of war and military grade, are but a mere drop in the bucket of common use arms. The evil black rifle numbers are comparatively small, when counted against the other, as to what can be defined as weapons of war in the hands of millions upon millions of Riflemen – should they be called to duty in defense of home and hearth, as well as the Republic and ALL the rights enshrined therein.

The tools and definitions may change, what they look like and how they are interpreted, but the mindset of freedom remains in the citizens, that will use whatever tool, no matter how defined to defend home and hearth as well as the Republic.

“A militia when properly formed are in fact the people themselves…and include, according to the past and general usage of the states, all men capable of bearing arms… "To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms, and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them." - Richard Henry Lee, Federal Farmer No. 18, January 25, 1788.

#74  MR. POTATO HEAD GOES TO WAR!  MY FIRST MILITARY GRADE TOY!!

"MILITARY GRADE"'s TRUE MEANING & AN ANALOGY!
EDUCATION & FACTS DEBUNK FEAR FROM THE ANTI's!
by Eric Saperstein for Black Wire Media www.cnjfo.com/join-us

Mr. Potato head – aka "Military Grade"
It’s time to focus on debunking the fixation that the misinformed have on a term known as “military grade” – or “milspec” to those with a basic 101 understanding of armed forces vocabulary. So let’s talk a little bit about Mr. Potato head, for you millennials this was a toy that existed before your time, a plastic doll shaped like a potato used to entertain varmints of its day by providing a platform to secure facial components to creatively develop a variety of characters and personas. Don’t get your social justice warrior panties all knotted, there was a Mrs. Potato head too.

Anyway … here is how it worked. Any potato head figure could accept a variety of accessories to adorn its spudly shape with expressions and emotions. The parts from one toy could interchange with any other toy in the line. Your friend could have one variant, and you another and you could trade and share eyeballs and ears and lips. Any kid who played with Mr. Potato head has a basic understanding of military grade without even knowing it.

Now let’s introduce some more adult topics – economies of scale, infinite scaling and distribution of manufacturing, multiple supplier sourcing, supply chain streamlining, parts interchangeability, maintenance and repair simplification. These principles are all the baseline of military specifications.

The military will use one set and specific design for each required item. This design will use as many standardized (off the shelf) components as possible without jeopardizing the intended purpose. This design will allow an open source style blueprint so that any supplier or manufacturer who picks it up can provide a complete product or any combination of one or more components.

Economies of scale presents that the more of an item that is in demand, the more suppliers will exist, and the balance will result in the lost cost per item possible. By sourcing Mr. Potato head to many manufactures we give the opportunity for competition, innovation, and market growth.
Infinite scaling of manufacturing means that anyone with the tooling and skills to use it can produce a component or complete item. Mr. Potato head’s nose could be made by Mattel, the eyes by Fisher Price, feet by Hot Wheels. Why limit it to just toy makers? General motors could go ahead and make the body, and International Paper is producing the box.

Ford, GM, and Chrysler are all capable of producing the same vehicle, or any component of a vehicle designed and graded for military issue. In times of war, all vehicle manufactures would engage in providing to the supply chain. From there their suppliers could each engage to produce any required component for the vehicles. This instantly scales up the manufacturing capability beyond the reach of any one manufacturer alone. When every kid in the world suddenly wants a Mr. Potato head because some marketing genius made it look cool in a commercial we can expect the demand to be fulfilled. In addition, it distributes the manufacturing to compensate for any one that may be destroyed by a bombing campaign and/or invading forces.

Multiple supplier sourcing, simple, it allows for bidding. Request for proposals are issued and manufactures offer a bid response. Competition equals lower cost … remember military grade at the end of the bidding process goes to the LOW BIDDER! Let’s keep Mr. Potato head in reach of every kid for their birthday.

Supply chain streamlining, when components can be utilized for multiple purposes the cost of supplying, storing, shipping, and utilizing parts decreases. This means the same alternator may be used in multiple variants of military grade vehicles for different intended purposes. Refer back to economies of scale, now this single component is in greater demand and as a result is cheaper to produce.

Supply chain streamlining, its basic, the more you repeat a part the less variety of parts you need. Your supply chain has less items to track, store, ship, and train to install and maintain. Going right into parts interchangeability when the alternator can be quickly cannibalized from a broken down jeep and used to restore function to a truck, your ability to stay in the fight longer improves when you can quickly make repairs. Just for fun, I’m gonna note that Mr. and Mrs. and Jr. Potato head’s components all interchange. Too far of a digression? Not really, the concept is sound and a whole family of inbred looking potato people can emerge from your imagination.

From here – ask yourself the following question: WTF does any of this have to do with how many people a military grade weapon can kill? The answer is absolutely NOTHING. The media has tricked you into believing that the term “military grade” or “milspec” is directly representative of machines that kill. Guns that by specification can kill more people than anything designed for the civilian market. The angry black rifles with scary shoulder things that go up and nasty jagged looking bird cages on the pointy end vs your grandad’s old double barrel fuddgun.

If you’re not up to speed, not familiar with the business terms mentioned here? Sue your school board, sue your history teacher, economics teacher, and business teachers. Hold them accountable for failing you miserably and falsifying your education. Education, knowledge, is the foundation of a citizen’s ability to self-govern, and is the enemy of oppression. Flip your anger towards our nation’s media for outright lying to you through propaganda and agenda driven broadcasts. Personally, I’m demanding every member of the regressive liberal media present their colon with a Mr. Potato head suppository.

Carrie Lightfoot, founder & CEO of The Well Armed Woman, a womens shooting & training group with chapters all over these United States, has encountered some apparently surprise / unwarranted abuse from both Instagram AND Facebook. Apparently it's cool to interfere with a national organization based upon true female empowerment that helps PREVENT RAPE and other criminal acts from being perpetrated upon women by teaching them basic & intermediate gun handling skills and encouraging local chapter meet-ups and competitions? As more info becomes available we'll update the story! ---The Editors

#77  CNJFO COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR THERESA INACKER APPEARED ON CNN FOR US.  THEN SHE WROTE THIS OP-ED!

JERSEY GIRLS VICTIMIZED BY "FEEL-GOOD" GUN LAW!
STRICT SCRUTINY FROM SCOTUS LONG OVERDUE!
by Theresa Inacker, CNJFO Communications Director
Tuesday August 20, 2019 www.cnjfo.com/join-us

An Op-Ed...
Trust Women: Woman’s Right to Choose? The Startling Hypocrisy of Gun Control Bigots and a Woman’s Right to Bodily Autonomy.

The left emphatically proclaims a woman has a right to bodily autonomy. This right has been declared fundamental by our Supreme Court. This means any attempts by government to restrict it, are subject to strict scrutiny— this is the highest level of constitutional review. Source ReproductiveRights.org.

We are, of course, talking about woman’s right to choose an abortion. But what about her right to possess a firearm in defense of her own body?

Isn’t a woman’s right to defend her own body, in the manner she chooses, free from government interference also a fundamental right?

The bold and unavoidable irony is lost on vapid rights suppressors like Moms Demand Action, those politicians calling for more gun control, and others who support them.

Or is it?

In the article by Laurie Penny, published in the New Republic, “Criminalization of Women’s Bodies Is All About Conservative Male Power”, Penny argues that:

“Part of what it means to acknowledge the humanity of women is to treat them as political agents, and not walking wombs with the inconvenient habit of moaning about their personal preferences and material needs. The anti-choice Republican feeding frenzy comes from a deep conservative greed for social control.” Source: http://bit.ly/30km8ZK

The irony here is thick —greed for social control? A lack of acknowledgement of the value of a woman’s life and autonomy over her life? Criminalization of women’s bodies?

This is exactly what left-leaning politicians and gun control advocates do to a woman when her right to self defense is denied.

A pre-existing right, the right to keep and bear arms is explicitly written into the Constitution by Amendment II to restrain Government. Where is it explicitly written in the Constitution that a woman has a right to an abortion? It is not. Yet, rooted in the right to privacy, the Supreme Court has ruled that it is a fundamental right and that strict scrutiny must apply to any government attempts to regulate.

Aren’t we as gun owners merely asking for the same respect? Are we denied because our politics are different? That is nothing less than poorly-disguised social control.

Even after passing State of New Jersey and FBI NICS background checks, I would be charged with a felony and do mandatory jail time, if I were to carry and use a firearm in defense of my female body. THAT is tangible criminalization of female bodily autonomy. Liberal- leaning states like New Jersey lead the pack in suppressing women’s rights: in fact, one could rightly say, infringing her rights.

By calling for more gun control (despite the fact that we have over 20,000 gun control laws on the books already) the left is minimizing the value of my life as a woman.

In New Jersey, where less than a petty fraction a percent of firearms owners may obtain a carry permit, the liberal politicians have decided that my life is less valuable, that my life is subject to their personal interests, and fundamentally subject to the whims of governmental control. (Read more: “New Jersey with 8.983 Million Residents, Only Issued 496 Concealed Carry Permits”. http://bit.ly/3082znn)

Ultimately, this is about mostly liberal male politicians, and those who follow them, considering themselves elitist; more valuable than a common woman such as myself. I am nothing but a serf, subject to the capricious whims of the master landlord. In their elitist minds, I deserve this suppression because my politics differ. This is Un-American.

Resolution is long overdue. The Third Branch of Government, the Judiciary, should be the “firewall” that protects us from these relentless infringements. The Supreme Court of the United States needs to apply strict scrutiny and strike down these unduly burdensome restrictions on our ability to bear arms. Concepts such as Equal Protection, substantive and procedure due process are all interconnected with Second Amendment rights: these rights are ‘one body’ in a sense, and we must do everything to protect to it!

Yesterday, I attended Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays in Coplay, PA for the first time! I went with @Mrs.Zeke to their NRA Women on Target event - more on that later. I feel very grateful to have attended (and, again, thanks to @Ms. 12 Gauge for letting me know about the event!) Here's my feedback:
Sporting Clays: Yikes, what a fun shooting sport!!  If you don't know anything about it, you are moving through a course and at each station there's clays being thrown different ways (varying direction, speed, even a type called a rabbit that rolls along the ground). It's challenging. And for even more challenge, they have 3 defined courses there - beginner, intermediate and advanced. So think of it like a golf course - each station is like a hole - they even have gas-powered golf carts you can rent, or little scooters (I think those are free) and little wheelie carts (also free). The operation is year-round.
LVSC: I haven't been to other sporting clays ranges, so I can't compare per se, but I can say this one was really "atmospheric" - and as a lover of all things Victorian, it was just my cup of tea.  It's set in a long-abandoned 1800's quarry operation. So, the old, roofless, dilapidated buildings have been taken over by trees and undergrowth - but they still hold a unique beauty (the great masonry, old arched window frames, etc. - it was like some of those photos from urban explorers who enter abandoned sites). It must look amazing in fall or after a fresh snow! Even better, one station we were at is located right over water (presumably, the old quarry pit). So, you're standing on this little covered deck, looking out across a sparkling body of water, with cliffs opposite you, trees above that and a perfect blue sky up above. Wow. Hey, did I mention it's a GREAT-LOOKING place? (LOL) Much of the course, blessedly, was in shade. And all the little stations have roofs so you've always got a little spot of shade on a hot day. The main building where you sign in was large, nicely air-conditioned (helpful yesterday of all days), well-appointed, kind of a rustic hunting lodge vibe, but very modern and clean, too (including a nice clean ladies room with the de-lead soap, etc.) The staff were all very friendly - and our instructor, Bob Broderick, was fantastic! I recommend him highly. A lot of things "clicked" for me yesterday in terms of understanding the process - that's the power of a good instructor! Here's their website: https://www.lvsclays.com/
NRA Women on Target: The NRA and their partner ranges really do a great job on these events! They are designed to attract women to the shooting sports, so they're quite literally giving stuff away. This deal was so slammin' - it was impossible to pass up! FIFTY BUCKS covered the entire afternoon program. They initially had us in a room  for about an hour where we filled out paperwork and had some classroom instruction about safety, etc. We then picked up the included cold drinks, eye and ear pro, plus a loaner shotgun and instructor for each group... our little sub-group had 4 women and 2 golf carts (carts also included!!)… and we were on the course for a good 2 hours at least... with each one of us getting one-on-one attention and guidance from the instructor at each station (that alone was worth more than 50 bucks!!). Afterwards, we returned to the same room where they had snacks, more ice-cold beverages, certificates and "swag bags" which, best of all, included a coupon for 10% off of a private lesson (expires end of this year).  I have no idea what that would package would cost normally, but looking at the website, I'm guessing at least 125 or more each?
So, if you haven't been to LVSC yet, I urge you to check it out! It's LOTS of fun. I know CNJFO is doing a fundraiser there this month - I'm sure you'd have a fantastic time AND you'd be contributing to the 2A cause at the same time. So, I'll add that link here:
In addition, I plan to get on the email list for their NRA Women on Target events (apparently, LVSC sponsors about 3 a year). Though I can't go again (it's for sporting clays first-timers only), I intend to advertise them in the future under our "events" section... so you can all pass the word to women shooters you know. Believe me, anyone who went would enjoy it. All the ladies who went yesterday (I'd say it was about 15-20) had a real blast!

With so many registered shoots going on, I thought I'd try a new range in South Jersey and visited Quinton in Salem County and have since gone back.
It's a nice facility overall, offering Trap, Skeet, Sporting Clays and 5-Stand. I've been there twice for Trap and Sporting Clays and both were busy, but not crowded. On the Trap field, the shooters were pretty laid back and friendly and the woman, Lisa, who was running the show was super helpful. I went with my son and both being new to Trap, I appreciated the advice from the guys just hanging out. It's the kind of place that gets a lot of regulars and they sit around and chew the fat and, when there's enough for a squad, or when Lisa is trying to fill a squad, someone will get up and join. You know there are regulars when a shooter goes down into the trap house to check on the trap or set it up for doubles. It was a pretty good mix of people, yeah, plenty of middle-aged and elderly men, but a few women and juniors as well.  It was a very comfortable place to shoot and I recommend it, though it is a haul (for me) being so far south.
They only have one Sporting Clay course as far as I know and it's nicely laid out in the woods along winding, stoned paths. We found the presentations fairly hard - definitely more difficult than the Woods course at Cedar Creek, for example. Lots of longer distance targets.
I don't shoot skeet but they have a couple of skeet ranges that look to be in good condition. I've not seen anyone on the skeet range either time I've been there.
Prices per round weren't bad - $30 for 100 Sporting Clays and $5 for a round of Trap (non-member prices). Clubhouses are nice. No ammo for sale.

At the risk of crowding up the joint, TNT Reloading is open this Saturday... So, to make the run a bit more productive, I'll be going for a round at Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays.

Always a nice walk/drive, nice scenery, and some of the best presentations in the northeast (seriously). Anybody up for the short notice?
