Bully 749 Posted December 27, 2018 I'm having a 1911 built. Therefore, I'm back to being moderately interested in handguns again and think there should be a "safe" space for customized pistols to be show off without fear of bullying from any other fanboy club. What'cha got? Springfield Armory 1911A1 I did the trigger work, beavertail, hammer, stippling on top of the slide. I also added the magwell and blended it inside reasonably well. It's a beast. Shoots very well with my reloads. I need to mod the mag release as it beats my hand up a touch but beyond that it's just ducky.

High Exposure 5,664 Posted January 1, 2019 This was Pat Rogers’ 1911, set up to his specs for off duty carry. It has had extensive work done to it, but damned if I know exactly what or by whom. Frame is Colt (Serial number puts it in 1981 I think). I have no idea on the slide. Barrel is a hard fitted Bar-Sto. I added some slim VZ Grips with a super scoop. It shoots amazing. Maksim 1,504 Posted January 1, 2019 Will add mine when I get home. By custom do we mean hand built by someone or even customization is good for this thread?

Whatever you feel comfortable with. @Ray Ray I wish I knew what all that means, but it's a good looking Beretta. @High Exposure That piece is awesome. Seriously.

G conversion: it removes the safety on the decocker so the lever only decocks the gun. G10: VZ grips in G10, the color is Olive Drab.
Pew Pew Plates 358 Posted January 1, 2019 This is my build by Angus @ CZ Custom. It's a bull shadow slide/barrel on a shadow 2 frame with adjustable sights milled in, a fiber front, #11 recoil spring, SA trigger, magwell, & LOK grips. It's my racegun. Weighs around 50oz, makes 1911s feel light. It's in 9x19 and it recoils completely flat. Photo cred to my awesome wife!
Bully 749 Posted January 1, 2019 @Ray Ray Thank you for the English conversion. @Pew Pew Plates That's a beast. Very cool blaster.

Wilson Combat does work on them, as does Cylinder and Slide (i think). Plus there are plenty of unknown smiths who do wonderful work.

I always forget about the WC thing. I'm not a 92 fan. I shoot them well but just don't enjoy them.
High Exposure 5,664 Posted January 4, 2019 Look at Langdon Tactical for the current Beretta custom hotness. https://www.langdontactical.com/ His trigger job in a bag is amazing and affordable. It is also the tip of the Iceberg with the Langdon Tactical custom work. I had a chance to mess with some of Ernest’s personal Berettas and samples of his custom guns at Friends of Pat 2017 and man are they nice. I am contemplating some flavor of Beretta 92 because of it. I do need the short reach trigger though. Also, I got to mess with @shooter28’s Wilson Beretta at a Sights&Triggers class a few months back. It was amaze balls!

shooter28 153 Posted January 5, 2019 Heres my Beretta that Wilson worked on. G10 Grips Short Reach Trigger Action Tune D Spring Single side, low pro safety Battle rear sight Fiber Optic front sight I really like it although I want to switch out the safety. The low profile is great but when its cold or you have gloves on, its very hard to use. I want to do a single side, g conversion Also plan to get the WC elite hammer, and oversized safety. Maybe get the mag well milled a bit too. Heres my most recent custom handgun. Polymer80 Factory glock frame internals (plans to replace the trigger in the future) SLR magwell Zaffiri Custom slide Zaffiri TiN barrel Zaffiri slide competition kit. Just waiting on iron sights and red dot ( milled for RMR). Also since I stippled the area right in front of the slide lock, I need to get an extended one since its very hard to grab
