Football: overpaid, pampered children playing a game.

And playing poorly, for their millions, at that.

I can’t believe Jeffries dropped that and caused the interception.

Well, in his defense, the ball hit him in his weak spot, his hands. Tough spot for a W.R.

Can't expect much from him in that case, right? After all, he's only making $52 million over 4 years. That's chump change....

Oh, wait....

You can't figure it out?

Here, this might make it easy for you. One quick point, if, as professionals, they can't complete like half of their pass plays, maybe it's time to go back to pop warner: Eagles completed 18 out of 31 compared to Saints 28 out of 38.

The rest of the stats are just as bad.

Saints started poorly and got progressively better throughout the game.

Eagles started well; but got progressively poorer throughout the game.  Injuries did not help this, either.

It was not the blow-out that many expected; the Saints also got lucky with that last turnover late in the game -- they were in trouble and they knew it.

No I still can't.

Saying that a defending World Championship team who lost in the division playoffs should go back to Pop Warner is just plain stupid. They were 1 of 8 remaining teams out of 32 total. Most stats would say that is pretty decent no? Since you seem to like statistics, here's another one: Ashlon Jeffery's catch percentage in the playoffs is 85.2%. Hardly Pop Warner caliber.

Not saying the Eagles played good, or that professional sports players are worth their huge salaries, but the above statement is pretty stupid.  You realize there are equally professional players on the defense, right?

Great Point!

The Eagles defense, who also makes some big bucks and are professionals, let the Saints score more points on them (not to mention allowed more total yards,  more 1st downs and longer possession).

Thanks for pointing that out.

That's how sports work. One team wins the other loses. It is a pretty simple concept. I am sure there are stats to back that up.

But wait, didn't you say this:

Was this a game that showed their prior World Championship form?

The stats weren't even that close. I know, tough pill to swallow, but facts are facts.

Just as a FYI, I wanted the Eagles to win too, but the stats don't lie.
