Malsua 1,422 Posted January 16, 2019 If you've not been following, there is a fairly significant storm headed our way. As of the latest UKmet and Euro models, NW jersey where I am will probably see the most snow, central jersey may get clobbered with a ton of freezing rain and SE Jersey will probably just see rain. After it moves out, there will be a back end hard freeze and some lingering snow. If the low runs to our south, all will be well, everyone gets snow. If it runs north, we all get rain and some snow. If it runs where it is now, well, you'll see the dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifices, dogs and cats living together, mass hysteria! Oh and gas up your chainsaw and snow blower 1

My flight's scheduled for Sunday evening. I would contact your airline and see if they will get you on an earlier flight. Even if you get rain with this storm, cold air is going to move in afterward and freeze everything. The problem with evening flights is they end up getting bumped out for the flights early in the day that never got off. The other thing is that even if it's not bad there, the flights that can't get to NYC airports or wherever else are holding up gates so your flight has no home. I would seriously contact them and spend an extra day or two in Vegas. I have done it multiple times when I was traveling constantly. In anticipation of disruption, they will waive the change fees and get you out earlier. There are worse places to spend extra time.
Malsua 1,422 Posted January 17, 2019 Freezing rain could be very bad, in fact it looks it pretty much lays across EWR, PHL, LGA and JFK.

Whatever it is, it propagates by runners and there is no seed for it. Sort of sucks as when the dogs dig it up you can only replace it with sod To me it is more a weed than it is grass.
