Maksim 1,504 Posted January 20, 2019 Ended up with about 4” and tons of ice. Foetunately the snow blower made quick work or ice and snow, then finished up shoveling the sleet.

I'm curious how much of the "snow removal" budget the State has used thus far. Especially considering their has been virtually no snow this winter. 47 minutes ago, gleninjersey said: Was driving around for past three hours. I wonder how long before Murphy starts using those signs for something like "Don't forget to brush your teeth before going to bed!" Friggin nanny state. fishnut 2,358 Posted January 21, 2019 Well I got about 20" of snow up here. No state of emergency to speak of and no brine either. They just plow and sand till it stops snowing then plow sand and salt. My co workers have never heard of a state of emergency for snow before. Pretty pathetic. It is very strange. It's like it never got cold during the Winter before in NJ... The government now need to save people from themselves. Maybe the government can force Facebook to send Public Service announcements to users. That's probably the only way the "sheep" will see them.

The worst part is the wind chills, suppose to hit -10 here, and that's after sunrise in the morning. I can tolerate the cold, it's that wind that really sucks.
gleninjersey 2,134 Posted January 21, 2019 I walked the dog a little while ago. It's cold. But It's the middle of January in NJ. What do you expect? How can people be shocked? News flash.
