Never heard... BUT the "no single unlicensed shooters" is not store policy but one that was mandated by a number of the insurance carriers.  You will find that rule at pretty much every NJ range AFAIK.

The "no single shooter" is definitely an insurance driven requirement.   The first time I ran into it was in Yuma Az when I was on a business trip that lasted over a weekend.  I went to a range to try out what my next acquistion would be.  No can do.  The desk guy said it was an insurance requirement.  You need to either bring your own or have another person with you.   This was ~15 years ago.

Never had an issue renting and shooting alone at shore shot until, the suicides started a few years ago.

Now like you say, pretty much standard insurance requirement.

Heh, wow, did not realize that they had it out of state too.

Sucks, but facts are facts... most of the suicides, at least the ones in Jersey, were solo shooter, rented gun.

One exception was the cop with his own weapon.
