That pic was taken at Dix on the day they called the cops on me. Its NJ legal as its not on the prohibited list, and does not have a bayo lug, or a folding stock or a pistol grip.....It does have a flash hider, but we are allowed 1 evil feature, and thats it. It used to have a pistol grip, but it did not "hang conspiciously below the action" as it says in the NJ law. I took it off and put on spade grips just to make sure. Also, I can only link up 15 round belts.

The Mag release is from Tactical Solutions ($31 in var colors)

 

The Barrel is a Volquartsen SS fluted with teflon inserts and 32 hole compensator.

Are the 10/22 Mag releases hard to get to? I assume that's the purpose of the extended release..

On the standard Ruger 10/22 it's a small push type pad to release the mag,.......pita

I have the same mag release on mine. It is the best upgrade I did.

 

I made my own based on that design. Agree, it is the BEST upgrade to the 10/22. And yes, the stock mag release is stupid. You have to push up on a really small button.
