Glocks and M&Ps

Recommended Posts

Are M&Ps much harder to work on than Glocks in completely disassembling them?   Are the safety plugs that you can put in across S&W M&P models the same?  Does the Shield take a different one?

I don’t think either is hard to work on, but I’d say Glock is likely easier to completely disassemble. At least from how I remember when I installed the Apex parts in my M&Ps.

But I’ve seen people screw up making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Neither is in Ruger Mk III territory, if that is what you are asking.

Don't know about the Shield or plugs...

Glocks are easier to completely disassemble. M&Ps have more parts, use roll pins and require removal of the rear sight for access to the safety plunger/spring.

They are both equal when it comes to general field stripping for cleaning.
