Underdog 1,593 Posted January 30, 2019 Are M&Ps much harder to work on than Glocks in completely disassembling them? Are the safety plugs that you can put in across S&W M&P models the same? Does the Shield take a different one?
Screwball 483 Posted January 30, 2019 I don’t think either is hard to work on, but I’d say Glock is likely easier to completely disassemble. At least from how I remember when I installed the Apex parts in my M&Ps. But I’ve seen people screw up making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Neither is in Ruger Mk III territory, if that is what you are asking. Don't know about the Shield or plugs...
diamondd817 826 Posted January 30, 2019 With the exception of the front sight, Glocks can be completely disassembled with 1 tool.
RichP 115 Posted January 30, 2019 Glocks are easier to completely disassemble. M&Ps have more parts, use roll pins and require removal of the rear sight for access to the safety plunger/spring. They are both equal when it comes to general field stripping for cleaning.
