Just for perspective the NY case was distributed for conference 3 times between the 3rd week of Nov.2018 until 01/14/2019.  The petition for certiorari was finally granted 01/22/2019. It won't be Christmas for a little while yet. And that just means the case will be heard, no guarantee of outcome.

My take on what is probable. 

1) they see the case as legally very similar to the NY case and combine the cases into one. If this is the case, I expect it to happen today as I don't believe the schedule allows for much else.

2) they see the only similarity as being the 2nd and the level of scrutiny. In which case it gets relisted until the NY case is done and whatever precedent is set. At that point it gets sent back saying your conclusion is shit, redo this one.

U.S. SUPREME COURT DEFERS ACTION ON ANJRPC CARRY CASE

May 28, 2019. Today, the United States Supreme Court took no action on ANJRPC’s challenge to New Jersey’s carry law in the Rogers v. Grewal case.    That means one of two things: either the U.S. Supreme Court will relist the case for consideration at its next conference on May 30, or the Supreme Court will defer its decision on whether to take the appeal pending the outcome of another case. The Supreme Court’s intended course of action will become clearer as the matter unfolds.   Please watch for additional ANJRPC alerts as the situation develops.

Very few decisions are made on petitions at first conference.  Most petitions are relisted several times.  As an example, the Indiana abortion case was relisted 15 times before today's per curiam decision.  The most likely result is it will be relisted for conference next week.

SCOTUS rules on NY case, setting ground rules to use strict scrutiny when ruling on 2A cases. Kicks NJ carry, NJ mag ban, and MA AWB cases back down to circuit courts. Leftists' heads start exploding from the surge of 2A freedom.
