If you put a gun on consignment, as I understand it, you technically sign it over to the FFL’s possession. If it doesn’t sell or if you change your mind you have do the transfer/nics thing to get it back. So.....what’s the gun?

I'm trying to doe this as painless as possible. Most gun stores get 20% of the sale price . Not sure what most ffl's charge to do any paper work. Then it is also a matter of meeting up with the buyer at the ffl . Time is something I need more of.

Thanks Troy.

Just to also note, when you put a gun on consignment... yes it is "yours" but in the eyes of NJSP, no it is not.  It is on the books of the FFL and if it does not sell and you want it back, you have to do the NICS once again.
