GOV. MURPHY TO HOLD ANTI-GUN
"ROUNDTABLE" FEB. 26 AT 2:30 PM

Governor Murphy has announced that he is holding a roundtable discussion on "gun safety" at 2:30 p.m. in the NJ State House on Tuesday, February 26th.  The announcement indicates that Gov. Murphy will be joined by the Giffords Law Center to prevent Gun Violence, legislators, and community leaders.

Last year's onslaught of misguided gun laws targeted at law abiding citizens instead of hardened criminals began with a similar event.  Uninvited and absent from the "roundtable," both last year and this year, will be anyone from a group supporting the rights of law-abiding gun owners.

The event can be viewed live on Facebook  here:                   https://www.facebook.com/governorphilmurphy/

Please watch for further updates and alerts.

How they’re going to force through things like, limiting the ammo you are allowed to own/buy, internet sales, pull some NY “safe act” stuff, like featureless rifles etc... I just can’t wait :80:

And they will do it all to keep the kids safe.

I’m all for keeping any innocent person safe, from anyone attempting to cause them harm, unfortunately none of these laws will render that as a result and only punish everyday people when they get jammed up for not knowing.

I hope there is some sand from the shore in the vaseline.  This is why we cannot give those POS Statists an inch.  Thanks to all those non voting schmucks and the fudds.

Exactly.  This is part of Murphy and his administration’s script for queueing up the  next round of anti-2A bills.  Most all of which were originally conceived and written back in 2013. That list has been posted elsewhere here numerous times.  They just pick from that menu and adjust as needed to fit their 2019 anti-2A agenda.

This is sickening.  Much like Steve Scalise being "silenced" during anti-gun legislative debate last week in DC.  It's all a one-sided political farce.  Got to vote this non-sense out of office.  SCOTUS is the only hope since these jackals are running amok.

With the old stock leaving NJ in record numbers and being replaced by _ _ _ _ who is going to vote this crap down....they're stackin' the deck daily...just talk to local realtors.

Agree.  The wife and I are starting the convo of exit strategy.  Still have the kids and some ties here, so may be a bit tricky near-term but it's on the "list".  In the meantime, I'm hoping a SCOTUS re-adjustment of 2A can put these NJ hacks back in line.  IMHO, the legislative branches in government have been unchecked and unbalanced by the judicial branch in some time.  We are due.

Exactly!  It's hard to read sarcasm from an internet post.

We're looking to get out of here as well, or at least to have a safe haven somewhere.  Problem is we're running out of 2A friendly states.

You can't stop the turn over in this state and the newer residents couldn't give a crap about our 2A, our history or even our Christian, Judeo Holidays.....they're going too.  The smart know, it's time to go....makes me laugh that the 1.5 mil. neighborhoods in Somerset County are now becoming home to Mooslim Mosques....watch those numbers drop once real building construction begins.

While I can agree, it really unnerves me that it has to be thought of this way.

GOV. MURPHY ANTI-GUN "ROUNDTABLE"

REVEALS MORE OF LEGISLATIVE AGENDA

February 26, 2019. Today, Governor Murphy held his second anti-gun "roundtable" in the State House, revealing more of Trenton's upcoming agenda on guns.

"How can they call it a 'roundtable" when there was no one there to speak for NJ's one million law-abiding gun owners," asked ANJRPC Executive Director Scott Bach. "They always talk about wanting a 'conversation' about gun issues -- this was more like a monologue. They need to focus on severely punishing violent gun criminals instead of targeting tools needed by honest citizens to defend themselves."

Claiming "our work is not done" and wearing a large red "F" pin on his lapel to commemorate the "F" grade he received from NRA, Governor Murphy declared as a goal for NJ to have the strongest "gun safety" laws in the U.S.

During the meeting, more of the upcoming legislative agenda on guns was revealed, and it included:

- A new "smart gun" initiative (replacing the failed 2002 smart gun law)

- Requiring ammunition sellers to electronically record every ammunition sale (falsely assumes criminals obtain their ammunition from licensed sellers)

- Mandating state-issued credentials to purchase ammunition (falsely assumes criminals obtain ammunition from legal sources)

- Expiration date on firearms purchase credentials (falsely assumes criminals purchase firearms using NJ credentials)

- Mandatory state-issued license for inheritance of firearms

- Passage of redundant laws punishing various firearms crimes already prohibited

Please get ready to do your part as anti-gun attacks ramp up in Trenton in the coming weeks and months.

More laws designed to punish law abiding citizens. What does it matter when people can do private sales unchecked? What does it matter when law enforcement doesn't properly enter information in the system so nothing comes up in NICS checks?
