GOV. MURPHY TO HOLD ANTI-GUN "ROUNDTABLE" FEB. 26 AT 2:30 PM

Recommended Posts

Look at the bright side, they're making it easier to leave this state. My exit is in the works, got plenty of blood pressure meds until then, I will land on my feet elsewhere and very comfortably too. Fuck this state.

I think this year is even more ominous for 2a than we see so far.   Look at it from the pols perspective.   The state is broke and highly taxed.  Murphy is about to make his 2019 budget proposal that either ratchets up taxes, reneges on his campaign proposals for new programs, or both.  The dems will desperately neddd something to distract the faithful.  What do they have but guns?  It a safe go-to in NJ, and if they overreach and get smacked down by SCOTUS it will be Trump's fault.  They'll say they tried...

Good luck.  NJ is screwed for many reasons.  The 2a is just ond of them.

unfortunately none of these laws will render that as a result and only punish everyday people when they get jammed up for not knowing.

When the state makes a law for everything that is not done exactly as the state wants, everyone becomes a criminal and can get pinched any time.  That is called tyranny.

We are no longer a free people.

This.

Call for more and more laws. Eventually everyone in a targeted demographic is breaking some law somewhere.

Selective enforcement can be the downfall of a democracy.

So, I'll ask again, after the results of the Roundtable today:

Is it Time Yet???

It's your ilk and people like you that voted these idiots in.  Mistakes happen in law enforcement.  Dont blame them.  Democrats are to blame 100%.

I didn't vote Democrat, thank you. Mistakes happen but for some reason, they always seem to happen in the most notable shootings. It has nothing to do with the Democrats. The Democrats had laws that would have stopped the shooting in Illinois at that warehouse. But stuff wasn't entered in the system so he was able to just walk into a store, purchase a gun despite being a felon, and commit this atrocity.

Threatening a violent revolt does not endear people to the 2A cause. It just scares people on the fence away.

You poor brainwashed simpleton. That is EXCACTLY what the 2A is for, to give The People a chance to rise against tyrany. Why do you think they keep trying to disarm us?  At least we know what side of the fence your falling off of.

Just as holding a faux-roundtable that is nothing more than a one-sides publicity stunt does not endear those on the fence. It just draws a deeper line in the sand and polarizes the voter bases.

Aka, politics as usual.

Threatening to revolt because you might get IDed buying ammo? Threatening revolt because they might make you go through a background check every so many years? Threatening revolt because you have to have a FID to buy ammo? Moderates and liberals will not believe for a second that there needs to be a violent uprising to deal with that. If there was actually talks of confiscation sure but moderate America do not see these annoyances as major transgressions that people need to die over.

Do you understand the concept of incrementalism? The boiling frog, chipping away, death by a thousand cuts? You want to hear their talk about confiscation?   https://observer.com/2013/05/senators-caught-on-tape-confiscate-confiscate-confiscate/  Wake up Greeny, they have an agenda and thats to dis-arm us.

And in that instance, you are more likely to get away with threatening revolution. But threatening over small things instead of educating will persuade no one to become pro 2A.

Apparently NJ2AS showed up. Here is their take on the gun control mobius strip.

...."Facing a drop in approval rating and internal scandals, Governor Murphy deflected by hosting a so-called “gun safety” roundtable. However, there was one major issue — there were no gun safety experts on the panel.

While grandstanding on the issue of guns, Governor Murphy did reveal his “Gun Control 2.0” package and claimed “our work is not done.”

During the meeting Murphy stated he will be fighting for some of the following laws:

1. Make it a crime to make a straw purchase or try to procure a firearm through a straw purchaser. For those not aware this is already a crime.

2  Revitalize the so-called “smart gun” technology by replacing the failed 2002 smart gun law that many claim single handily halted any advancement of “smart guns” by exposing the democrat’s true agenda: making it the only gun you can buy. As we have written before, this law is hated by everyone, including democrats.

3.Require anyone that sells ammunition to electronically record every sale and report it to the state police. Since passing the reporting requirement no reduction in crime has been reported. Probably because criminals do not buy ammunition from legal sources.

4. Mandate that every gun owner take a firearm class.

5. Reapply for your firearms ID card every 4 years.

"- Mandatory state-issued license for inheritance of firearms"

This is a new one.  The word "inheritance" did not even appear in the 2013 list of proposed laws nor do I recall it ever being made an issue of.  They really are looking under every rock for undiscovered "loopholes".  There will never be an end to their supposed "loopholes".

Oh wait, it will end, once they achieve their goal of eliminating civilian ownership of firearms.  Then the real tyranny begins....One only needs to look at history.

I wonder if they will also want to tax the value of those guns.

It's disgusting that law abiding citizens will have to be subject to scrutiny where no crimes have been committed.  There are already laws that prevent prohibited persons from inheriting firearms.  All this is, is a tightening of the noose on lady liberty.

IMO....they're bringing this to a head....what next.

If they’re bringing it to a head to go to Trump’s SCOTUS then good. But the way I see it nothing he’s not attacks the guns. Magazines, ammo sales, p2p sales, permit processes and the like. He’s chiseling away at what we need to maintain one. The big decision, if there is one, must be clear on the “not to be infringed” part or else we’ll have a bunch of constutionally protected paperweights.

By 2020 he'll be dictating what you can and cannot inherit.

I think it's SCOTUS or bust.  What else really is there?  Aside from moving to a "free state", which is in the plans for me sometime down the road but that shouldn't be the way.  Disgrace all around.

After the Cohen hearings taking place today, it's obvious they will resort to anything to injure or destroy the President, his family  or  our present way of life under the US Constitution....understand, there is no line they won't cross even if it means collapsing the present Gov't or murdering babies after birth.....this is who they are and who y'all are dealing with....omo..........disarm then hello Socialism.

That just about sums it up. Unfortunately, we aren't using our full 5,000,000 NRA member's to affect. Nobody wants to do anything until the crap washes up on their shore. Well, I tell my friends outside NJ, it (the crap) is coming soon to a town near you.

BTW, I haven't been able to find this statistic, but does anyone know how many NRA member's we have in NJ?.

Yep...They were quite pathetic, the Lefty's did them selves no favor. The Republican's for once did an outstanding job calling out the charade in general, and getting M.C. to admit to his true intentions: Book deals and Paid-Guest appearances.

A true / orchestrated Character Assassination of the President and his family members for the public to witness by the elected dregs of our society and a now disbarred attorney who lived up to the reputation of just what a Lawyer is, lower than whale shit and that's at the bottom of the ocean....and they want our firearms......how will his family ever relieve themselves of the stench of Michael Cohen or NJ and their Govenor.....omo.

C’mon, you don’t see the real danger?  How many Dindo’s were simply trying to work their way through medschool when they inhereited grampa’s M1 and it drove them into a wife of crime?
