ignition switch re-coding

Have to replace the ignition switch in my wife's car which will require a recoding of the ignition. Anyone know of some that does this, hate going to the dealer. Location is ocean county.

I have VAGCom software for VW’s. I think it can be done from there. I’ll have to check RossTech to see if it can be done. 

If it can be done through VAGCom, i wouldn’t be able to do it before Tuesday though. 

 

Just to clarify, you need to re-code the ignition to recognize the key transponder ID for the immobilizer? More info please, so I can search the proper parameters on VAGCom.

That's the only place my mind ever is. Don't the Krauts know what a vag is in English?
