Sunday March 3rd - Gun Chat & Coffee - Starbucks Phillipsburgh

Recommended Posts

Hey folks,

I know it is very short notice but having an impromptu meeting with some forum staff in the area and wanted to see if anyone wants to get together and grab some coffee.

Figure around 5 PM or so.

@Pizza Bob held these awesome events a few years ago so wanted to do a few more.

So when I put this post I totally forgot about the snow.

In either case, 4 of us got together and had a good time.  Was a pleasure to meet you @father-of-three and welcome back to the area!

We talked loudly about firearms, no one batted an eye... then again, this is Western NJ.

@Pizza Bob was thinking about the IDPA match yesterday but got caught up with errands.   How many stages is it usually? Round count?

Phillipsburg is 8 stages - four indoors and four outdoors. If the weather is bad or the outdoor range snow covered - as it was on Saturday - then they do all 8 stages indoors. That makes for a long day. Match started at noon and didn't get home until 7 PM.

Usually do Shongum USPSA on the first weekend, weather permitting or Guthsville IDPA in season (April - November). P-burg is a fallback alternative. I'm getting less tolerant of bad / cold weather as I get older, so while I prefer to shoot outdoors, the indoor matches are great for year round activity.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

Awesome. How many folks showed up?

And Pburgh has an outside range too?!  I thought it was just indoors.
