Illegal Fees??

When you have your FID and want to apply for more permits to purchase you only have to fill out the one form with all your info and put how many permits right? You dont have to fill out the mental health forms and all again do you?

 

Just asking because I want to turn in forms for 3 more permits when I get the call to go pick up my enitial FID and permit to purchase.

So basically I have to do the whole packet that my twp. provides but only differences is that I only check off PP and how many and no finger prints again.

Correct, and the time frame is generally much shorter. It usually only takes me 2 weeks to get them back.

I really need to get out of Jersey. It took less than a week to get my CCW in NC. $50 for a class, $5 for records check. With a CCW I was able to purchase any pistol at any time. How did it get so bad here?

 

It's always been "bad" here. Do you realize we have needed a pistol permit to buy a pistol since 1965? That's three years before the 1968 NFA Act.

The NFA came into effect in 1934. Your are probably thinking of the GCA which was enacted in 1968.
