Underdog 1,593 Posted March 29, 2019 Can anyone tell me about a 3913. Is it a good gun? Is it reliable? Is $350 a good price for one in nice condition?
GRIZ 3,369 Posted March 29, 2019 I carried a 6906 for about 10 years. Same gun except a 12 Rd magazine. No issues with it. I'd take that gun for 350.
Screwball 483 Posted March 29, 2019 Third generation S&Ws are work horses... Size wise, I’ve heard people compare it to a Shield (single stack). Just alloy frame, DA/SA with slide safety/decocker... likely a magazine disconnect. Downside, S&W doesn’t support them anymore. Can’t go wrong with that price. Eventually, those guns will dry up... ones in good condition will likely go first. If you get it, stock up on magazines.
Ray Ray 3,566 Posted March 29, 2019 As @Screwball said, these are good little shooters. Outdated? Yes Heavy? Yes Magazine disconnect? Yes Reliable? Yes. 350 bucks for almost any S&W is a good deal.
High Exposure 5,661 Posted March 29, 2019 My first duty gun was a 4013 TSW - the .40 version of the 3913. It was a pretty good gun. Low capacity and heavy though for a duty gun. If I ever see a 4013TSW with the light rail for sale, I will scoop it up.
