Oops, I see Tex already claimed chili.  Alright, I’ll come up another dish.

Tex’s brisket is outrageously good!

Don’t let my chili stop you...bring it!

Besides, if yours has beans in it, it doesn’t REALLY count as chili. That’s beef and bean stew...:yahoo:

Did you get a Campsite? Maybe we'll bring the camper for the weekend. How's the campground?

We got a lodge, but the Zekes have a campsite. Campground is pretty good. Keep the consumption of libations low key, but it seemed to be a good crowd.

Find out where the Zekes are and try to get s site nearby. They are right next to our lodge.

Campground is nice. We got a site, only water and electric at most of the sites. I want to say it’s 1/2 off pre season rates. But I’m not sure. I know it’s discounted.

I'll be there.  Now did Mrs Tex want to know because if I was coming she wouldn't be?

I'll probably bring a vegetable.

LMAO!! Nah, she thought you were a piece of work, in a good way!

Bring that bacon wrapped asparagus...that counted as a vegetable!!

Damn I'm bummed I'll miss this!

I do have one recommendation though to make things more fun. Everyone shoots one round of 20 Clay's, person who hits the least has to wear a dress to the BBQ.

Okay, I reserved a cabin, so I'm locked in.

Since there are going to be so many dishes for the after clays BBQ, I'm thinking I'll do breakfast.  If I can plug into Zeke's electric, I'll bring either a waffle iron (or two) and all the fixn's,  or an electric griddle to make pork roll, egg and cheese sammiches.

    • Before you tell me not to move to NJ, I know, it sucks. lol  I actually lived in Jersey most of my life and moved over to PA 5 years ago, and now I plan on coming back.  I bought my first firearms when I was a NJ resident, so I am pretty familiar with the laws, however I do have a couple questions... I have acquired a nice collection while living in PA and obviously want to make sure I follow the law when I come back.  I have a few AR's that I built myself.  As long as I pin the stock and replace the flash hider with a pinned/welded muzzle brake, I am good, right? Also, regarding the "Other/Non-NFA firearms", would it be the same deal?  I have a couple AR pistol style firearms that I built.  The stripped receivers were bought as "other" on the ATF form at the FFL.  So, if I ensure the barrel is at least 12.5" and there's a vertical foregrip, would I be good?   I appreciate any assistance.
    • Sorry, both are SPF.  Being picked up this week. Win M22  22 LR SPF to Ringwoodfrank.
    • Yup I see. Looks like right now you can only purchase the 2023-2024 permit still. I assume won't be able to purchase 24-25 season permit until July.
    • Just a heads-up for anyone who might also be in this situation. I joined USLS mid-April of 2022. Some time after renewing for 2023, I changed email providers, and dutifully reflected my new address on my account page. So, I have been anticipating renewal alerts at my new address, but those never arrived. I logged in to my account the other day, and was surprised to see that my subscription expired that same day. I went to my account main information page, confimed that my email address was correct, then went to the billing page, which showed my previous two payments, but which did not give me any apparent way to pay up for the new year. I requested support using the Customer Service form on the web site, but received no reply. Today I called their support number. Apparently changing the email address from my view of my account page did nothing to change the address that they use internally for billing purposes, including expiration notifications. Maybe they also use that address for replies to the support form, even if a different email address is entered there. Also, my account was set up to auto-renew and charge my credit card without my intervention, but that setting did not show on my account page in any obvious way. So, if you have USLS and have changed your email address since you last renewed, you might want to give them a call to ensure that they send renewal information to your correct address. The prospect of having legal coverage lapse while carrying in NJ was, for me, a less that confidence inspiring experience. I will note that the telephone-based customer service was excellent.
