M&P Shield 4”

S&W has released a Performance Center Shield 2.0 with a 4” barrel!   An alternative to a Single stack G19 and a G48 killer with awesome sights, much better trigger and ergonomics.  This has been anticipated and will be a hit.  And I like the aggressive texture.  Love Smith’s options.

I figured they would release a Shield with an 8 or 9 round magazine as standard.  Since most CCWers carry their single stacks with the extended magazine anyway.

That would be a nice option but for many the grip would be too long.   I wouldn’t want it  except for reloads.  The grip is longer than the 2.0 compact as it stands.  

Maybe the longer slide will make it easier for a red dot version   Certainly easier for slide manipulations.
