Please try and bring everything you can in terms of a gun, ammo, and clays.

A rough check list of what to bring:
- Gun(s)
- Ammo (birdshot #7.5, 8)
- Clays (Walmart's in Clinton, Flemington, and Phillipsburg generally stock them)
- Thrower if you have one
- Eyes and ears
- Shell pouch
- Beverages/snacks
- Layer up and bring a warm jacket/gloves/hat depending on weather
- Chair

If you can't bring some things, we will have plenty of stuff there. If you've never shot a shotgun before, I and others will try working with you to be able to dust a clay by the end of the day!

Gun rules to remember:

Always treat a gun as if it was loaded
Keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to shoot
Never point the muzzle at anything you're not willing to destroy
Always be aware of your target/line of fire
For this range, keep all guns unloaded until you're on the firing line

Be smart, be safe, and we will have a fun-filled day!

All right, people!  We've been lax about killing clays and turning the field orange.  Let's correct that.

I'm in... I don't have a shotgun... but I know people are usually kind about loaning!

I'll bring a box of clays... and some kind of snack (cookies or whatever).

BTW, now that it's spring... don't forget to put sunscreen on, everyone!

I have range safety orientation from 8am-1pm. I'm a bit baffled why it is 5 hours. I doubt it will be. I couldn't see it being more than an hour or 2. I'll put the shotgun, clays, and shells in the car as I think I'll be about 30 min from Clinton.

fair 'nuff.

So to be clear: we're "on" for the 18th, assuming the weather doesn't go to piss, then we're on for the 25th.

Got that everyone? :D

The 25th is Memorial Day Weekend. I can't make then either and others may have some plans. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer just relaying info.

    • In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.
    • 27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
    • I get the added benefit that since I have a TSP rather than a true 401(k) they tax my retirement too. Yaaaay!
