About an hour ago got a report from a user who received an private message from someone pretending to be an FFL offering guns... including a Post-86 Glock 18 which apparently did not require an LEO Demo letter.  User asked for paypal to be sent to him, friends and family only to email [email protected].  Leaving this up so it is search able for others to find.   Seems like a few users on AR15.com were also contacted.

Based on data, only 16 users were contacted and I believe in order of activity.

IP traces back to Lagos, Nigeria.  Reported to ATF.

The main issue is for those who may not be knowledgeable, the prices seemed fairly reasonable and guns were promised to be shipped to your FFL.  Where they screwed up was paypal friends/family only and the Glock 18... lol.

No data was compromised, user is blocked, reported, etc.

Thanks for sharing.

Hope they didn't get any takers.

Very highly doubt it.  Only 16 people were messaged in a timespan of an hour or so. 3 of them reported it and was very early.

i sent everyone else a private message immediately.

elsewhere? Likely.  Otherwise they would not be doing it.  The issue is that the prices quoted in most cases were quite believable and not out of line.
