usnmars 136 Posted May 1, 2009 I will vouch for aim surplus. They are extremely reliable, fast (before the Obama effect), and great people to do business with.
tgz13 0 Posted May 1, 2009 I have had a few dealings with Midway, have tons of stuff and super fast shipping. If you order early enough it usually goes out the same day or early morning.

hannibal 0 Posted May 13, 2009 I have used Midway, Cabela's, and Brownells. I would give all three an A+ because I have never had an issue with any order and they all ship very fast. Midway does stand out however. They ship almost immediately, I like the setup of their site the best, and they usually have slightly better prices. I never returned anything to these retailers, but if I had to, it seems Cabela's would be the easiest because they include a return label with your order. tbtrout 141 Posted May 13, 2009 I agree about Brownells, I use them quite often. Service has always been top notch.
rscalzo 3 Posted May 13, 2009 Brownell's is the best for same gun parts and gunsmithing items. They also have a small package postage rate whereas Midway will charge more for postage that the item cost. Both will accept returns without a hassle. Both also have quick shipping. Malsua 1,422 Posted May 19, 2009 I can vouch for Natchez. If it's in stock and you pay noon or so, it ships the same day and it's here to NJ in 2 days. I've only purchased ammo from them, but there's no hassles. The first box has expensive(like 10-15) shipping but each subsequent box usually adds like $1 so it's a bargain if you get 5+ boxes. They don't back order but if you check often one of the cheap ammos will come into stock. I picked up 2000 rounds of 9mm in the past few months(S&B, Blazer brass, CCI Lawman and Rem UMC) for about $12/box by refreshing the various pages numerous times a day. Usually one of the bargain range ammos comes into stock once or twice a week for about an hour. Gotta jump on it then.

tgz13 0 Posted May 19, 2009 Brownell's vs Midway which one do you prefer? I go with Midway. Brownell's takes forever to ship to my work in Philly. I have had 3 orders with Midway over the last 2 months.. always have what I need, and get the stuff out of their door and to mine in a really reasonable time. I am not patient when it comes to having to wait for stuff, but I really don't mind their shipping times. If you order during the week and early enough it will go out same day, and usually at my door 3 days later. I currently have an order that is scheduled to be here Thursday (ordered Sunday night). Finally stepping up to a range bag instead of my backpack. It worked for 1 pistol but not with the .22 there just is not enough room to carry everything anymore. remthewanderer 0 Posted May 19, 2009 I ordered the midway range bag too. The problem is that it has been back ordered to the middle of June. I may have to cancel and get something else. What midway bad did you get Chad?
tgz13 0 Posted May 19, 2009 I ordered the midway range bag too. The problem is that it has been back ordered to the middle of June. I may have to cancel and get something else. What midway bad did you get Chad? I was going to get the Competition Range bag but like you said they were on backorder. So I opted for something a little smaller But along the same lines with good detailed reviews I saw the full size one at the range this weekend and it is huge, much larger then I need right now. For my 2 pistols, ammo, magazines, targets and cleaning supplies this one should be about right. I don't use the hard cases on my pistols, prefer the gun rugs since they are easier to store in the safe. -Tom
remthewanderer 0 Posted May 19, 2009 woops sorry Tom, got you confused with someone else here. Similar avatars I think. I think I may cancel my back order and get this one. I need my duffel bag back for packing clothes.

When my bag comes in on Thursday I will do a quick overview of it, and snap some pictures. -Tom

tgz13 0 Posted May 22, 2009 I gave in and ordered that same bag. I should be getting it on Thursday as well. In that case we will both be finding out at the same time if they are any good 8-) I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical of settling for the smaller bag. It's not small at all. I unloaded my backpack and grabbed everything I usually take to the range. 2 Pistols, ammo, targets & folders, tape, ear / eye protection, magazines, bunch of shop rags, cleaning kit The main compartment has 2 open pockets and a big middle section (double zipper for easy access). I put each pistol (2 total) into the midway gun rugs I picked up (not as protective as the Beretta one but it will do the job for range use), Ear / eye protection, tape, targets and ammo all easily fit with plenty of room to spare. I would think you could fit another pistol in the center of the bag easily (as long as it wasn't in a hard case). There is a pocket that runs the outside length of the bag on either side. 1 of them has a built in 7 magazine holder, and on the outside of that flap are elastic rings to hold other things in there as well. The other side pocket is a zippered pocket, but its just meant for storage (no holders or elastic). Rags & cleaning supplies fit no problem in here. There is a clear pocket to put range pass and a small zippered compartment to put small items in as well. Plenty of storage for a day at the range. For $30 it's definitely a good, strong bag for the $$
DevsAdvocate 112 Posted May 22, 2009 Can you carry your guns and ammo in the same bag as long as they are in separate compartments within the bag?
tgz13 0 Posted May 22, 2009 Can you carry your guns and ammo in the same bag as long as they are in separate compartments within the bag? Pretty sure they should be separated.. I just look at it as my pistols are in their own case (empty, no mags), those cases are in a pocket in the bag, and the ammo is at the bottom of the bag, each box is taped closed. remthewanderer 0 Posted May 22, 2009 I agree with Tom. I bought the same bag and it fits everything just fine. I think I carry too much crap with me to the range because it is a little tight with all my stuff. I was planning on a separate "what's in your bag" type post when I get the chance. lunker 274 Posted May 28, 2009 Bud's Gun Shop. I have dealt with them several times and I would do so again. http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/index.php Good points Great prices. Hard to find comparable elsewhere. Only CDNN beats them. Often have free shipping. Bad Points Charge high "restocking" fee ($40) if you change your order. Takes a few days for the gun to get out their door.

Called up and the guy was a jerk about it. Took about 10 days to get the money back on my card.
