EVIL FEATURE QUESTION

I'm looking to get a complete upper to put on a lower I built. My question is about the grenade launcher being an evil feature …….. what is the evil feature, the launcher itself or If I get an upper with a barrel cut to accept a launcher is the barrel an evil feature?

Government-contour barrels are fine (as long as the muzzle threads are inaccessible)
