Optics ready vs getting slide milled?

Optics ready vs getting slide milled? I have been getting my slides milled as recommended here. I keep seeing so many optic ready guns popping up and people going this route instead of milling.the modularity to use any optic that optics ready guns can use is a big plus. Milling your slide gets your optics lower on the gun which is a big plus. Also the price of milling has dropped so much its actually cheaper than going optics ready. So what are your thoughts? Anyone run both? What's your option?

Simple, if you can afford to buy new and add to your collection-optics ready. If you can't or don't want to add to what you have at this time-milled.

My older model guns did not offer optics ready models at the time. Sending them out to be milled was a great option to have.

I did 2 already, gonna do a third. I have a permit to use in less than 2 weeks was thinking if I should do optics ready or not this time.
