Moving to NJ. Can I bring rifles on the assault weapons list?

Not clear to me what rules are for the newcomers are.

If you have a rifle specifically named in the list,  you CAN NOT bring it into New Jersey!

Someone on the forums mentioned that adding a fixed stock and pinning the muzzle break on a Galil does the trick.

If its on the list, its banned. No way around that.  Fixed stocks and pinned muzzles are to legalize "substantial identical" guns not on the list by name.
