The Coalition of New Jersey Firearm Owners is proud to announce we've scheduled our first Hog Hunt of the new season for Sunday January 26th. So mark your calendars and watch for our event page & sign-up on our website (coming SOON!). The guided Hunt is ideal for beginners & anyone looking for a challenge since this is a "NO license, ANY weapon" affair held on a 150 acre island in the middle of the Susquehanna River near Harrisburg, PA. Raffles, swag, lunch included. Stay Saturday night & party with us (Dutch Treat) OR come Sunday. A great way to fill the freezer & support NJ's busiest 2A group!

Hunt includes hot lunch served on the island, field dressed hog, goody bag w/ swag items, raffles for great prizes (BRING CASH ON ISLAND) & all the memories you can take home!

We recommend V. Roche & Son Butchers in Whitehouse Station, NJ.  A CNJFO sponsor, they have a renowned reputation for excellent service!

20th or 26?

Sunday January 26th is the Hunt.  I'll be in the area on Saturday the 25th for frolicking at the winery tasting & the historical restaurant before hittin' the sack at a B&B in Mount joy, PA (about 15 min. from the boat ramp).  Rooms are still available & the breakfast can't be beat!  Wear yer sidearm at the dinning room table!

CNJFO invites the PUBLIC to join The DC Project's NJ Ambassador Theresa Inacker, and other 2A supporters on Saturday February 29th for a half day of pheasant hunting at Giberson's Farms in Pemberton Twp., NJ. Looking to purchase a home defense style shotgun. Not looking for anything too crazy or expensive just something to keep at home. Mossberg, Remington, or Maverick would be ideal. Thank you!

For Sale:  Spikes Tactical Black Assassin Complete Rifle, (5.56) 14.5" (16" OAL) Midlength, $1,250 OBO
Bought this rifle new in 2014 directly from Spikes Tactical.  Has less than 500 rounds through it and shot outdoors once, no malfunctions or issues.  Cleaned after every use.  I'm only selling to offset the cost of another rifle (wish I was rich enough to keep them all!)  This has basically the same specs as the current model listed on Spike's Website for $1,925 except I did not opt for the nickel boron bolt carrier group.  In 2014 it did not come standard with the raptor charging handle but I added it to this rifle and is included in this sale along with the Magpul vertical foregrip and 10 round hex mag (it's the size of a 30 round but is completely NJ legal and cannot be converted to any capacity higher than 10 rounds or it will not function).  Feel free to contact me with any questions.  I believe a private rifle sale does have to be done by an FFL transfer.
      Here are some more specifications:

Weight: 6lb 7oz Length: Position 1- 32"   Position 6- 35" The Black Assassin is designed with input from Spike's 3 gun team and other competitors. Minimal recoil, target transition at depth, and weight are their primary concerns. The Black Assassin has many upgrades to give you an out of the box performance rifle.

    • Yeah I was just reading that sub forum and updated my OP, Thanks. The idea of simply adding a VFG and poof its legal and can have evil features is a hard one to wrap my head around. Still not exactly sure what a 16"+bbl and brace AR is if it does not have a VFG. Well, I guess that pretty much eliminates the desire to swap and go from pistol->rifle->pistol or pistol->other >pistol but I'm assuming pistol->other >pistol would still be legal as long as its always in the other configuration in NJ.
    • Question 1... aren’t you building one of those non-NFA Firearms? Over 26” OAL, add a vertical grip and you are good to go (judging a pistol brace). Remember, a brace is not a stock... can’t pick/choose definitions. Question 2... I believe you are in the same boat. I just built a 11.5” AR pistol, without the muzzle device, and with a carbine buffer tube... I was just under 26”. Like less than 1/4” under. If you add the vertical grip to your build, should be fine (magazines notwithstanding). Federally, you technically would be good. But if you built it as an AR pistol (not the Firearm configuration), I’d say you’d be in possession of an assault weapon in NJ. No stock, technically built as a pistol (your description), and hitting multiple evil features. Could it be proven? Really unsure about that... but just how I see it.
    • A shotgun or rifle to private land to shoot is not an issue..BUT...  be aware of the NYSafe Act...   Don't bring your NJ compliant AR to ny...cause it is not compliant with ny current law. What does, what is legal to do in PA, have to do with what is legal in NY?
