PK90 3,569 Posted November 19, 2019 I asked this on Arfcom and didn't yet get a response. Maybe you peeps are knowledgeable in this area. I'm swapping barrels and mag tubes on a Mossberg 500 and 590. Should the bolt stay with the barrel or receiver?

First, what are you trying to do? Second, there are some models of 500 that have the same parts as a 590 or 590A1. Not older 500s or the economy 500s. The bolts on most 500s are the same as 590s or 590A1s, minus finish.
PK90 3,569 Posted November 21, 2019 Newer model 500 and 590. I am taking a 7.5" barrel and tube off a 500 AOW Cruiser, then putting it on a 590 Shockwave that will be a SBS. I will put the 14" barrel and tube from the 590 onto the AOW.
silverado427 10,555 Posted November 21, 2019 It might require a little heat to remove the mag tubes.
PK90 3,569 Posted November 21, 2019 Both taken off. Waiting for Form 1 approval for SBS.
