silverado427 10,552 Posted December 22, 2019 The battle of Long Tan 1966. Pretty intense movie, 108 Australian and New Zealand soldiers fight off 2500 VC. 90 percent of the soldiers had no combat experience. For a battle where the odd's where stacked against them, They held there own. Thank God for Artillery. I thought it was a pretty good flick.

njJoniGuy 2,128 Posted December 30, 2019 Just watched this film. Got it at Redbox this morning on my trip to Acme. Had a promo code in my email a couple of days ago for $1.25 off, so the net cost for a one night rental was only 50c. Good Viet Nam action film, on the order of We Were Soldiers. Strange to see Travis Fimmel in a modern-day role, but he certainly brought the Viking spirit he is best known for to this film. If Ragnar Lothbrok had had an M16 and a 1911 like Major Harry Smith, he certainly could have conquered the world!
