njpilot 671 Posted February 10, 2020 This time in Forrest City, AR. Just happened, not many details. 3 people shot. Here in Jacksonville, right up the street from me, some nut job liberal ran over a tent and chairs in the Walmart parking lot where the local Republican Party was registering voters. Luckily, no one was hurt, but they did catch the guy.
Screwball 483 Posted February 10, 2020 I saw it on FB, then was looking at Defensive Carry forum... one of the members was there. Might get a little insight via that... but he wasn’t carrying at the time (next stop for him was dentist, and didn’t want to leave a gun locked in the car). But some of his observations might be insightful to some.
Sniper 6,372 Posted February 10, 2020 Perp dead, 2 cops wounded.... ....."Two police officers were shot this morning when a gunman opened fire inside a Walmart in eastern Arkansas, authorities said. Forrest City Police Department Lt Eric Varner and Detective Eugene Watlington returned fire, fatally shooting the perpetrator identified by St Francis County Sheriff Bobby May as Bobby Joe Gibbs, 40. Sheriff May told Fox 13 Memphis that the incident began unfolding when staff at the Walmart noticed a man who was acting strangely and threatening customers, prompting them to call police. Officers who responded to the store confronted Gibbs, who allegedly pulled a handgun and opened fire on them. The cops returned fire, shooting and killing the suspect at the scene. Gibbs was arrested in 2012 and charged with carrying a firearm in a publicly owned building or facility, theft by receiving firearm, possession firearm incarcerated person, obstructing government operations, carrying a prohibited weapon, loud music, disorderly conduct, and 32 counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, according to KATV content partner KAIT Region 8 news. gleninjersey 2,139 Posted February 10, 2020 "the perpetrator identified by St Francis County Sheriff Bobby May as Bobby Joe Gibbs, 40." Doesn't get more country than that. Though in a dead dog, lost job and a wife that left and you have a country song. Glad nobody else was hurt.
