Bayonne Permit Extensions?

Has anyone had any experience with getting a handgun purchase permit extended in Bayonne?  I recently put in for 4 permits, but I probably should've checked here first to see how Bayonne is about extending them.  Given that I likely won't get the call to pick up the permits until a few days after the issue date, I'm concerned I may be effectively limited to just 2 purchases in the 90 days.  Thanks in advance.

Thank you! I will ask about the extensions when I go to pick up my permits.  Another option would be applying for a OGAM exception.  That may end up being easier since I think it’s the NJSP and not local PD that approves those.

Ask them to do it when you pick them up.

My town automatically pits the extension in...

Another option is to apply again the day you pick up your permits.  Apply for two permits continuously.

Thanks!  My issue though is that it's hard for me to get references (I need more pro-gun friends...).  I don't want to ask these two again.  We'll see what happens.  If they won't extend, then I'll try for a OGAM exception.  I'll report back on how things go.

      So i recently applied for a handgun permit but left the “quantity of permits” blank and never put a number in at all.  i got approved and purchased a handgun.  do i have to redo the whole application for another handgun or can they amend the original application being i left it blank.  it was approved less than a month ago.  any info would be greatly appreciated.  thanks!

      Cutting down receiver extension

      I have a full length AR-15 M4 receiver extension that was taken off a Stag post-ban rifle. It takes a CAR length buffer, so the interior is the same length as a short tube. What can I expect when I cut the tube an inch or two from the end? Anyone do this? Is the tube hollow or solid?

      As i have explained in another post, i am fairly new to firearms. I have my FID and own a 12 gauge that i use for trap-shooting and home defense. In any event, i have a couple other firearms that i am interested in. Some of them are handguns. I know all about the permit process and how you need to apply for a separate permit for each handgun. That being said, my question isn't really about HOW to purchase a handgun. My question revolves around WHAT applying for a pistol permit is like.
       
      My experience with the FID card process wasn't so bad. I went into the police station, explained that I went trap shooting with a co-worker, was interested in purchasing my own shotgun for these purposes, filled out the paperwork, and got fingerprinted. Within a couple of months, i received a call from the police station that let me know I could go in and pick up my card. Oh, there was a slight hickup. I had a couple run-ins when i was underage. I think one was for underage drinking and another was a misdemeanor. He asked me about those while on the phone. I explained that i was 15 years old and have obviously since changed. That was that.
       
      Now, I am a little concerned about acquiring a permit for a pistol. First of all, it is obviously extremely aggravating that you need to present yourself to the police station EACH AND EVERY TIME you want to buy another firearm. Some of you guys have, i would assume, over a dozen pistols. I guess I'm rambling at this point so i'll list my questions below!
      Some of you have dozens of handguns. Do the police ever look at you suspiciously after going in for your second, third, fourth, etc pistol permit?
      What has your experience been with acquiring a pistol permit versus the regular long gun FID card?
      If you qualify for an FID, would they be able to reject you for a pistol permit?
      If you said that your reason for acquiring an FID was for target shooting and hunting, what did you list as your reason for acquiring a pistol permit?
      Do you feel awkward going in for a pistol permit right after receiving your FID?

      In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.

      27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
