Happiness is a S&W .44 Spl

Recommended Posts

"What kind of a load do you use in that .44?"

"It's a light special.  With this size you got it gives me better control and less recoil than a .357 magnum with wad cutters."

Yeah, but that was a magnum in which he shot specials. These are all chambered for .44 Special. I have a few magnums too.

Yes, I know. I just couldn't resist the quote.

So, how does the weight of the Special models compare to any equivalent Magnum models?

Nice culina’s

Thanks - I figured that you'd like them. The pictures do not do them justice. They are Bubble Maple - it looks like birdseye, but the eyes have an almost 3D effect. I have two more sets coming, one set of burl and the other undecided as yet - both square-butt combats one K-frame and one N-frame.

Adios,

Pizza Bob

I didn't know S&W made a 44 special snubby with a shrouded hammer.  Lust

Five-shot built on the L-frame. Weighs about 18 oz. Model 296

Someday I may let you fondle it, if you promise not to drool on it.

Adios,

Pizza Bob
