M1152 713 Posted July 6, 2020 I loved CDB, I saw them at the Trenton Speedway & Fairgrounds back in 1980 IIRC before they leveled the race track and ripped it all down. I remember the CDB had pretty rigs with be beautiful murals painted on the sides, he was one of the good guys. RIP Charlie
Krdshrk 3,877 Posted July 6, 2020 RIP. I saw him live - he came in as a special guest at a Brooks & Dunn concert... and played Devil went down to Georgia. Was amazing.

10X 3,296 Posted July 6, 2020 Saw him live in the rodeo grounds at the Snake River Stampede in Idaho, a dozen or so years ago. Really like his music; he wrote some great political essays as well. He'll be missed.
brucin 923 Posted July 6, 2020 Capitol Theatre Passaic NJ 1979 or 80. First row at convention hall Asbury Park NJ 79 or 80 plus several times after that. A great musician, patriot and humanitarian. We shall not see the likes of him again. 1

JohnnyB 4,322 Posted July 21, 2020 Charlie lived to see the devastation caused by BLM and Anfifa. Just before he died he said: "It will dawn on you that this is not a simple protest against the unjust killing of a black man, but a revolutionary street battle against America and everything we stand for and it IS funded and lead by socialist factions, and it's not just in the US but in many democratic nations around the world ... Gun sales are through the roof and America is locked and loaded to protect their families and their neighborhoods." Charlie Daniels was both a wise man and a patriot! May his soal rest in peace! Let us pray that all those who are locked and loaded have the balls to fight the good fight and make Charlie proud!
