A Duppy is a Impish spirit or ghost in the Caribbean, usually in Jamaica, and I got the name from our housekeeper who said I was always up to something but she could never catch me at it. I use my version of spelling.

When I was in college for architecture (late 90s), I was the only one in my entire class who didn't know how to use AutoCAD. All of my drawings were made by hand with pen and ink on vellum. We used to call those "hardline" drawings, so the nickname stuck. Most people think I'm trying to be a badass, but it couldn't be more anticlimactic. As for the number 42, it corresponds to the letters "D" and "B" in the alphabet which are the initials of a graffiti crew I used to roll around with back in high school when I thought I was cool.

My screen name came from some of my employees at a former job. They called me big belly bald boss, I am a Gringo, and my first name is Mike, so I put it all together as M4BGRINGO. Still in contact with some of them and they laugh that I use that name everywhere.

What kind? You obviously have excellent taste in handguns.

Why thank you! I was wearing a pair of jeans that I've had that have that nice worn feel without looking old and raggy. Damn comfortable. In fact, I'm going to go put them on right now. :beach:

When I first started using forums, it was mostly 4 wheeling sites. I drive a Jeep TJ and I usually take my dogs, Boxers, where ever when ever I can. I actually removed the back seat for them, leaving room for only a passenger. If they're lucky, since my girl doesn't share the front seat well. lol Now it just makes it easier to just use it every where.

    • In 50 years of living in NJ I've never experienced any attempt to inspect the interior of the home, and only one definite inspection of the exterior for an announced reassessment of all properties and that was a drive by. About 9 years of that was living in an apartment, but still, uncommon. Every place I lived had either a finished attic, basement, or both. But they were also included in the habitable square footage on the taxes when we got there.
    • 27.00 and change in tolls to drive down the shore from Rutherford,  47.00 in tolls to go out to Long island to visit dying relatives. Now I read they are going to raise the fees in the DMV. Murphy lied just to get elected when he said that seniors will get a significant tax break with his StayNJ" program to stop us from leaving.   Keep voting for democrats...this is what you get.  Tax and spend is all they know.  Never cut anything.  This state sucks.
    • I get the added benefit that since I have a TSP rather than a true 401(k) they tax my retirement too. Yaaaay!
