2021 Ford Bronco

Recommended Posts

I was just reading up on this last week.  I like the looks and the power options mentioned so far.  Prices at list do jump quite a bit though when you go for the 4-door.  Also, the option menu is said to be massive, which would throw me in a state of brain freeze trying to decide.  Luckily, there are already YT vids of what to get and what is a waste of money.  Sort of an Idiots Guide to Bronco Options.

IMO, if you want to order one to your exact specs, it's gonna take a while.  Dealers will get what comes off the line and see them fly off the lots.

After getting fucked over by Ford with my wife's focus ill never own a Ford again unless it has a carburetor.

This. I used to be a ford guy, until my wife’s escort had the engine fall out, hanging by the cv’s.  Had the warranty, ford would not cover the bill, said the motor mounts were covered but not the bolts, it was the bolt that broke.  12+ new vehicles later, and none of them a ford.

My wife's '16 Explorer took a shit at the end of 2019.  Cost us thousands out of pocket.  She went back to Jeep after many years.  This thing better deliver, otherwise she won't sign off on the purchase.

i couldn't find anything specifiying which platform this is gonna be built on. it only says "one of fords global truck platforms". i'm always a bit nervous when i hear something like that, 'cause that generally means it's gonna be based on some euro-trash pile-o-crap.

My buddy's wife ordered one or is going to or whatever.   I think they are on a list.

He's the guy that also was on a waiting list for a Hellcat when they first came out so loves waiting, lol.  He lives in Carson City NV, so they will haul their side by side out to the desert with this vehicle and run 'em both.

Here's what he posted.

-------------

Went to Ford yesterday and placed her order:

2021 (Probably 2022) Bronco 2-door WildTrak - Carbonized Gray
WildTrak includes "Sasquatch Package" (35" tires etc.), the larger 2.7L twin turbo engine (310hp / 400ft Lbs torque), and suspension for higher speed off-roading (not quite Raptor...but close... 2023 Warthog will be the "Bronco Raptor")

Options Ordered:
-High Package (Upgrades screen to 12", has 360 camera, a few other tech / safety gadgets)
-Built-In Nav (so it works without cell signal... especially for off-road trails)
-Towing Capability

She's pretty far down the reservation list, so she most likely will be getting a 2022 instead of a 2021.... which is fine by us... more time to save for it since we're gonna pay cash. Plus she turns 50 in 2022 so that's closer to her getting her 50th toy like I got my Hellcat for my 50th. Win-win!

I'm a bit disappointed.  I was hoping for a F150 based Bronco like the big one.

I had a 96 Bronco and it was the most versatile vehicle I ever owned.  I could haul plywood or lumber and seat 5 comfortably.  The AC was the best I've ever seen and you could use the truck as a meat locker.  I didn't do much off roading but when I got stuck in a snowstorm in upstate NY I just plowed through 18-24 inches of snow in 4wd.
