Stock up on AstroGlide ... gas tax goes up October 1

And it would be just as easy for the legislature to remove it, especially due to  the overwhelming financial burden put on many of their constituents due to the covid fiasco (many of the same constituents who will blindly vote them in again so they can continue the pillaging).

Only 4 years ago this was one tax that NJ did not less the nation in and in fact was either 2nd or 3rd lowest.  Well why would an overly tax burdened state not wanna be compete to be among the highest like everywhere else. 
 

One might think with the precipitous drop in car traffic the roads would, in fact, need less maintenance.  Silly me trying to make some sense of things.  I read average price for gas in NJ was 2.19 so this is nearly a 5% increase.  What’s the total tax now?  Over 50 cents per gallon?
