El Cheapo Ambidextrous Charging handle issues

I got one of these cheap Raptor style charging handle knockoffs for 9$ from AliExpress. Almost identical to the Original but I found an issue with the latch mechanism. It seems the latch is kind of squared vs rounded latch of the real one and as a result it doesnt latch properly. I was going to return it but I decided to sand it down to a round shape with 600/1000/3000 grain sandpaper and then blue it back to black. It is now running smooth like butter.

Has anyone had any issues with Charging handles in general? I have a VLTOR upper.
