My pup is trained in hand signals for all the normal daily cues, commands and tricks. I usually forget to give him the verbal commands, but have to remind myself to use the verbal too, as some of the other family members don't know all the hand signals. The only thing I didn't train him in hand signals is in the Level One training, since he has to be focused on the threat, and not looking at me for them. Those are verbal only. It might be on my end(?).. ... or it might be because "regular members" on NJGF have very limited photo storage space. To start attaching a bunch of photos to your posts, you need to either 1) sign up for "Premiere Membership" or 2) set up an account on a free image-sharing site like www.imgur.com - then upload your photos to that, and then link to those photos from your post(s) on NJGF. Must be on your end Emma. I'm not a Premier member right now, but I can upload photos and everyone else can see them. Can you see the text and/or links in these posts? I do know that regular members run out of space pretty quickly, so I figured that was the problem. I didn't realize it was ME!! LOL. Ignore my msg... carry on with the pet pics! carl_g 568 Posted September 23, 2020 I can see them but you all need to hire a photographer to take pictures of your pets. These pictures all suck lol!

Krdshrk 3,877 Posted September 23, 2020 @Wheeler2.0 - where are you hosting your pics? if it's on your google drive, sharing and hotlinking may not be enabled so we can't see 'em. I would create an account on something like Imgur or another site and hotlink from there. 1

If you don't have some relationship with Google (for some other reason) then it may not really be a public posting. And unless you have a more important reason to expose yourself to Google, I wouldn't recommend opening a Google account just to see some photos.

Sniper 6,372 Posted September 23, 2020 @silverado427 I just saw the video in the first post. Nice Job!! That's really tough to accomplish with the long distance commands outside with distractions. He (he is a he, isn't he, or a she?) seems to be really focused, your training is working! You using a e-collar with him/her?
silverado427 10,679 Posted September 23, 2020 Female. She is trained to obey hand signals @ 100 yards. I can signal her to sit , speak (bark ) stop and Attack. I've been asked by at least 5 people to train their dog. I'm like I'm not a dog trainer. Their response is you sure look like a dog trainer. The training requires me to reward my girl with treats. Treats are a good motivation tool. I hardly use the training collar . She doesn't like Joggers or people on bikes She is definitely a close in weapon system on the leash. 1

I use the treat system too during training, but my "Punisher" below, sometimes gets stubborn if he knows a treat ain't coming. I also have the ecollar, but don't want to go that route yet. My dude also doesn't like bikes or joggers, and he sometimes thinks he can take on a passing car when we are walking. Once I drop the leash, his "tough guy" act goes away, as if he thinks it only works when I'm hanging on..
