@Wheeler2.0 - where are you hosting your pics?  if it's on your google drive, sharing and hotlinking may not be enabled so we can't see 'em.  I would create an account on something like Imgur or another site and hotlink from there.

They are through Google.  Ill keep that in mind.

Here's some 100 yd commands.   The initial command was down then I walked to the other end of the field and signaled the following.

I had her come forward about 15'  and return to with the down command. Then I signaled her to come ( advance ) about half the distance to me and  then signaled her to the down position,  And at that point I signaled her to bark  .Then I  signaled the come   (Advance to me  ) .

The second  video clip is a ( get some ) hand  signal.

This video is taken on a old i phone 5  .

That's some great obedience! How long have you been working with her on that? What actual hand signals are you using that she can see from that distance?

Also, are you training for some type of competition, or just to expand her abilities?

5 1/2 years of off leash training.  Basic hand signals To advance forward I raise my hand straight up with a little wave.

To go to the down position I slice my hand from my chest to my knee . To bark I raise my hand about face high and open and close my hand like a dogs jaws.

The best part of the training is when we're done  and we have this ritual  I ask her if she's ready and i get a one bark response

I extend my arm out at my side my dog gently grabs  my hand in her mouth and we run around the inside of the ball field  .

Its like she's walking me. Very rewarding .

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of newly retired K-9 Officer Gunnar. K-9 Gunnar #9020 unexpectedly but, peacefully passed away at home today. K-9 Gunnar was given an honorable send-off by ambulance from his residence to the veterinarian. During his final patrol, he was surrounded by family and escorted by members of our K-9 unit. Upon arrival at the veterinarian, K-9 Gunnar was embraced by numerous K-9 handlers and their partners from surrounding jurisdictions to show their support for K-9 Gunnar, his handler Officer Buhowski and his family, as well as our department.

K-9 Gunnar started his career on January 28th, 2013 in the Toms River Canine Academy, class number 7 where he became a certified patrol canine. On September 9th, 2013 he attended the Toms River Canine Academy where he became a certified narcotics canine. While in training, K-9 Gunnar was one of the top dogs of the class and easily excelled at any task he was asked to do. K-9 Gunnar will be remembered for his numerous narcotics finds and his assistance in keeping officers safe while on the road. K-9 Gunnar retired in January of 2020.

K-9 Handlers form inseparable bonds with their partners and this unexpected passing is difficult for Officer Buhowski and his family. Our hearts are with all of them.

Choke  collar is on anytime  time we leave the house.

I run my dude on a prong or a Martingale, depending on where we are going. If I don't know who we'll run into, I'll run the prong. He can pass by 5 people with no issue, and then on the 6th one, sense something, and go into defensive mode, so he needs some "reminder" to stand down. It's nice to know the Level One training is working.
