Not bad at $1.26 per round

agree, people here are used to having large stores of ammo but that is not the case for most of America.  Group think is strong in every group, we are not unique in this.  Nothing worse than having a 700-2500k rifle and no ammo or a collection of firearms and no ammo.  Now THAT is insane!

you want ammo, pay

you didn't stock up, pay

"that could help them burn through a mountain of 5.56 ammo big enough to fill 466 standard-capacity 30-round magazines."

Brownells gets it!

i heard from a friend.....i trust the guy.......he'd heard that most companies are about to cease production of .22lr in order to increase capacity of other calibers. anyone else hear this?

I haven't heard, but they are made on separate non-convertible production lines, with no commonality of components, so I wouldn't expect 22 production to cease.  Unless there are bottlenecks in supply of brass or lead ingots, or they don't physically have enough employees anymore to run all of the lines.

Yup. "Games of chance" are considered a form of gambling and generally prohibited.

gotcha

ok I'm still annoyed!  lol

regarding 22lr, I called this a month or so ago and said, if you guys recall the last 22lr shortage, they slowed production to a crawl to focus on other calibers with raw materials and labor resources.  Would not surprise me to see a stoppage or near stoppage

Unless the state gets their cut.   States will claim that gambling is either a horrible societal evil, or fun and exciting entertainment for all!  Which side of their mouth they are talking out of depends entirely on who is getting the vig.

I said it before when the shit show started last year I grabbed 2 cases of .22lr on top of my already heavily stocked .22lr. I planned on selling a case when prices peaked.. that apparently still has not happened. Lol!!!

the reality is the 22lr is the most accepted and practical round for shooting in both good and bad times.  The whole family can shoot it, learn on it, one can train with m4s on it etc etc etc

at .20/rd, it's still a bargain compared to not shooting.  Price shock, once that subsides and people realize this is for the next 2yrs, people will pay .30/rd

As crazy as that sounds it's hard to argue that it won't happen...

The dies aren't the problem.  Nor the bullets.   Dies and molds can be made by any competent machine shop.

Priming the cases, on the other hand...

I've said this before.  When Clinton took office there was talk of making primers explosive devices.  You couldn't find primers for about 2 years.

So im sure 46’s puppets already thought of this. Licensing for components to make ammo.  Enjoy it while you can.  The constitution and bill of rights mean nothing to them.   Its all going to come to a head.

and nobody will do anything to stop it.
