High Exposure 5,635 Posted January 14, 2015 Holy shitsnacks! That thing is huge! If it's over 50oz it's a no-go. Also curious if they would consider the frame around the barrel a "shroud".
CageFighter 236 Posted January 14, 2015 i wanna add a pinned rear stock & a fake suppressor (16.1" barrel length) to make it a rifle. any thoughts? kinda like this: http://www.bvv.cz/public/galleries/16/15579/ceska-zbrojovka-cz_scorpion_evo_3_a1_3d2.jpg?3cabced7b439993bb1d4ba94bda982b6
High Exposure 5,635 Posted January 14, 2015 That is actually pretty cool..... Can you take a pistol and make it a rifle? I know it gets weird when you change one to the other or vice-versa - or it least it used to. Hopefully PK90 or Griz will chime in here in a minute. They are more up in that stuff than me. Don't forget, mags may be an issue as well. I only heard mention of 20 and 30 rounders.

GRIZ 3,365 Posted January 15, 2015 You can convert a pistol like that into a rifle but I don't think you would be able to ever change it back to a pistol. All work would have to be done before you take delivery. It may look cool in the configuration you want. However, you will spend well over $1000 to build a rifle with the capabilities of a $300 Hi Point 995. How much is cool worth to you?
PK90 3,569 Posted January 15, 2015 IMHO, AFAIK, and IIRC, to comply with the NJ "substantially identical" law, it is possible to convert a pistol into a rifle, but it would have to be done by an FFL07, as it would be manufacturing. The dealer's info would need to be stamped on it.
