1987 constructed home on town water supply.  Been noticing some rather marked surging when turning on faucets for a while.  Bought a water pressure gauge and connected it to my hot water tank's drain.  Static pressure after running the faucet for a couple seconds is 60psi.  Static pressure AFTER the hot water heater has cycled is 110psi.
