My step son moved out several weeks ago but for some reason he decided to sleep over the other night something to do with working late.Around 11pm I hear noise coming from inside my living room I grabbed my gun opened the door and their is my stepson.He saw me with gun in hand and I told him from now on you better call before you just walk in.
I keep the gun close when at home always thinking safety and keeping a clear head.

I can see the gunsmith at Springfield laughing and saying another one in over his head.But I will try YouTube in the future and I suggest no one remove the magazine release on the XDMDont forget about youtube if you have any problems. When I broke my rifle down for the first time I forgot the order of some of the parts and youtube was there to save me. On the upside I'm glad to here they did it free of charge.

I had my XDM for a month and after each time I would shoot it I cleaned it.However I always would go deeper with the break down.That's how I learned with the Glock and can break them down completely and back together again.I always make sure I have extra cups for the Firing pin spring because I loose them easily.Long story short XDM had to be shipped back to Springfield and they put magazine release back free of charge

sounds like they should work ok then in my 38..Aim ordering 500 roundsI don't remember seeing these in auto cartridges. I've only shot these in revolver 38SP, 357Mag, 44SP, and 44Mag.

For a basic field strip they are one in the same.Once you break them down specifically the frame the XDM becomes extremly difficult mostly because of the grip safety.love glocks but whats complicated on the xdm?

Stay away from light weight revolvers like the S&W 38 Body guard for a first gun.

Was at the range the other day and every know and then I was getting these little burning sensations on my face that lasted a split second.I know it was not comming from my gun because I was not even shooting it at the time.Then steel .45 acp casings started to land in my cubicle and I was wondering if what I felt was from the steel casings.

Just have the PD send me the effin reference form. I will send it in the same day stating how great she is and what a responsible gun owner she is. And, I don't even know her. The reference part of the investigation is the most idiotic waste of time.
PK I trust you and believe you and made me laugh.I will have my wife pick another reference and we will bring it to the PD in person.

I wouldn't have used an anti as a reference is the first place, DUH!
Have the PD email you the form or have them mail a new form to another (someone you can trust) reference. This BS happens all of the time, and the PD's are used to it by now!
The new reference can be someone from your bridal party who isn't related to you (if you're newly weds), or a neighbor or co-worker you can trust. Start a conversation and get-r-done!
Just a shade of sarcasm about her telling us she was anti-gun.We would never use anyone who held such beliefs.You have good advise.My wife could just fill out the form again and bring it down to the PD.They are helpful and have advised me when I went thru my process.

No she told my wife she was anti-gun but we used her as a reference anyway.

My wife is starting to get disgusted with the whole thing to the point that she doesn't care if she gets the permit or not.My guess is that this woman knows exactly what she is doing.Deliberately messing with the processes because she is anti gun.I just wish she would have told my wife from the start and she could have chosen another reference.Like someone stated in another post ""this is when you find out who your friends really are,

My wife called both references first and they both said yes.The one holding it up has been friendly with my wife for over 22 years.The only thing I can guess is she is a gun hater.If that is the case why didn't she just say no.Now she is really screwing things up.

My wife applied for both her firearms license and pistol permit at the same time from the same local PD as mine.She supplied two references and one called and told my wife she filled it out and sent it in in less then one day.The other reference also received hers and she has not sent it in and its been almost two weeks now.
What if she doesn't send it in? How does my wife recover from that? Will it look like she is hiding something? The worse thing my wife has ever done is take a few extra napkins at the local fast food restaurant.Any suggestions would be helpful my wife feels like she has done something wrong and she hasn't.

Unfortunately *TOO* believable. There were 236 confirmed carjackings in New Jersey in 2009 alone. Luckily, no murders were associated with those carjacking *THAT* year. I have not seen the statistics for 2010 yet, but with the downturn in the economy, I assume the number has increased. It is unlikely to drop anytime soon.
I work in the BX and I used to take my motorcycle sometimes to work but not anymore.you got these young punks that hang in the shadows and i just get this feeling that at a stop light I am going to be taken.

GFH is excellent in this regard, and their instructors are LEO's who have real world experience with this. They will give you the knowledge you need.

I have fun when I go to RTSP and It looks like they are doing well and I am happy for them.They have this one young woman who works the counter who may appear to come up short at times with you but she is just messing with you.I like the place and all my buddies are always asking me to take them their .
