  1. I'm thinking this might be it. Just need to save up a little more. Which model do you have? This one seems to be $100-$150 less than the others. Any feedback on this model? https://shar.es/16pGkm

That's a great price. I have that setup with my mix-and-match kits. The sights are nice on it as well.

I'd buy it for that price.

  2. I have tried cutting a slot in the exposed part of the screw that is sticking out. I applied WD40 and have let it sit there for a day. I think the screw threaded in wrong and that's how it snapped.

I have to buy a screw extractor from Home Depot and see if that works.

I might need to get hex screws to replace the factory ones and see if I can rethread the gun that way.

  3. I need some help please. The screw broke off when I was installing a grip on my EAA Tangfolio Witness Match. I cannot get the rest of the broken screw out and the metal on the Witness seems soft. I think once the screw is removed that I will need the hole rethreaded.

How hard is all this to do? Or should I go to a gunsmith.

    Thanks.

  4. Took a look, but I am not a fan of 115, actually shoot mostly 147. Be careful of their prices though. While the 115 is only $10.49 a box the 124 is all the way up at $15.49 which is worse than outrageous. I tend to shoot mostly Freedom Munitons new ammo which BTW has free shipping on any orders over $100 this weekend. 1,000 rounds of their 115 will run you $214.65 net while the 147 will cost only $240.32 net

How's the quality of the ammo from Freedom compared to Fiocchi?

  5. my wife is interested in learning to shoot a shotgun, she has experience wth handguns but not long guns. I'm thinking that a 20g semiauto would be a good way to go for her, any suggestions on models would be greatly appreciated, or if you think there might be a better way to go I'd appreciate hearing your opinion. Thanks.

Ron at Legacy Arms has a like new Weatherby 20ga:

It was mine and is on consignment. Literally only 50 rounds through it.

  6. Well, I made my decision and purchase. I got the Henry Big Boy .357 from Ron at Legacy. What a rifle! I hope to get a chance to shoot it next week after CJRPC reopens. I ordered a matching Skinner sight as well.

  7. I am looking for a larger caliber lever action to accompany my Henry Silver Eagle 22.

I have narrowed it down to a 357 Henry and a Browning BLR in 223.

The rifle is for range use, not hunting.

Any input and help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

  8. I just spoke with Ed, and he cannot do it right now. He just had surgery to have his foot removed.

He told me to contact John Trout in Juliustown. John will be able to do it in the next few weeks after he recovers from shoulder surgery.

Both men were extremely nice and very helpful.

  9. Does anyone know of a stock fitter in NJ? I bought a Don Stith stock for my Anschutz .17 hmr 64, but he only did about 85% of the work.

I am in Monmouth cty and am willing to drive anywhere in NJ or eastern PA to get it fitted.

    Thanks.

  10. Does the mkiii ran any ammo you throw at it?

I have run a few different manufacturers through my MKIII, and I have never had a malfunction. It's a solid performer with many aftermarket options. I love shooting steel matches with it.
